Should be close, hopefully Districts can get the job done. Not sure how much rain the Norwood area has got the last few days but it feels like we've had a bit on the peninsula so the ground could be like porridge come 2.30pm

I work in Norwood and it has had a heap of rain.

PAOC for me.

Yuck

Hard game, Districts the best side all year, think they may well be a tad stronger next season as well ;)

Never in much doubt really, won pretty easily.

Well done to your brother TDK, hope he is ok. Not want you want going off to hospital in an Ambulance. Did he do his shoulder?

Be a big night down at Largs :D

Suspected broken collarbone, off to Calvary Wakefield!
He managed to stay until the end of the game to see the end result.
Districts too strong defensively today, their pressure on PAOC was immense and were aided by the conditions.

I assume you are referring to Hayden Jolly. He had a poor game today ..... suspect he was injured. Quality player.

Just noting going back to 2017 the premiers list reads: ROCS, TTG, PNU, Goodwood, PAOC and now Port Districts.

Hugely healthy for the comp to have six different flag winners in six years

The Port District side today was as good if not better than any you’ve mentioned.
I can see them being around the mark next year.

I would have the 2021 PAOC team ahead of the rest by some considerable margin, but Port Districts are up there and if they can keep their squad they are in the mix.

Yeah fair call.
Last years PAOC side was probably a 10 goal better side than the PAOC side yesterday.

Congrats to Port Districts. They were the best team i saw all year and worthy winners. Nice to break a 31 year drought. I nearly collapsed last night when i saw PD stalwart Heath Pocock at the Harness Racing Drivers Championship and not 15 deep at Dizzy Square but alas I'm sure celebrations continued long enough for him to join after hours.

Interesting stat there Jim and great for the comp. Gives hope to all teams especially after one of the more even Div 1 comps i have ever seen. The counter for that stat may be that and correct me if I'm wrong, across those 6 years Port District are only 6th team to have appeared in the Grand Finals.
2002 - PD v PAC
2021 - PAC v PNU
2020 - GD v ROC
2019 - PNU v PAC
2018 - TTG v ROC
2017 - ROC v PNU
This would certainly give hope to Glenunga and SPOC who both looked right around the mark whilst Broadview and SHOC certainly wont be limping into the top flight in 2023

Correct, also suspect you’d find PAOC, TTG, Goodwood, PNU and ROCS to have been a loser of a prelim many of those years too

sorry to correct but it's 30 (1992) was their last A1 flag - they've obviously won a couple of flags since in D2. You're not the only one that's said 31 either..
