Have they ever started on a Saturday......?
My recollection has been that other than the boxing day and new years test most aussie tests have always (in my lifetime) started Thursday or Fridays.
i always thought the Gabba test kicked off on a thursday and most others were a thursday/friday start depending on when xmas and australia day were

Yes mate, the Gabba test usually started on a Thursday.
Like Whufc said I don't think test matches in Australia have ever started on a Saturday apart from Boxing Day and possibly the New years Sydney test?
I think they should start on Fridays or at least Thursdays.

Tuesday my brother calls "You going to the cricket Thursday?" "No, my boss is away indefinitely, as such I'm in that role for the foreseeable future and I'm under the pump pre-Xmas, no chance" This morning my brother calls "Got a ticket for a box today if you wanted it?" "You f*cking remember the f*cking phone call on f*cking Tuesday? F*CK!"
If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

Warner....... As my parents use to say: "would you jump off a cliff if I told you to do it?" As with a lot of criminals; he just doesn't get that his actions have consequences longer than 5 minutes
