Was just taking the piss, there's nothing going on. Got home from bowls last night and threw out some bait, was expecting an onslaught today seeing as most of you blokes seem to do faark all work on a Friday
Whoops, there goes another year. Whoops, there goes another pint of beer.

Bit early isn't it?
For beer?
No, for stupid questions.

Re: I need to know....
This could be a really dumb question but I haven't had a BBQ for over 20 years and recently purchased one and I know the connections to the gas bottle are different these days.
In the old days I'd go from full gas to nothing if the gas bottle ran out.
Today the BBQ cooked our tea a lot slower at a lower temp when I had it on full, flames definitely weren't as big as they used to be.
Gas bottle does feel very light (we've done 2 meals on a rotissirie which took about 3 hours each plus heaps of other meals).
Is this the way they run out of gas these days?

Re: I need to know....
I’d suspect it is empty, I estimate my 8.5 kg bottle last about 10 hours of cooking time depending on how many burners I use.

Yep, flames run low for a while before flaming out. That my cue to swap bottles (I have 2 and always fill after swapping).
Just weigh to confirm, the bottle will have the empty and full weights stamped on them.
