Re: 2024 Trial Games
I know it was only a trial game but every time we play West they are dull boring snoozefests and tonight was no exception .
We got the win but it was an awful game as it always is against them

Re: 2024 Trial Games
Good to get back into footy last night.
Best thing about it, without counting the players a good 500-1000 people there to watch a trial of SANFL footy in 34 degree heat.
Yeah the SANFLs dying

I totally agree with you, it was good to get back to some SANFL footy once again, and it was a good crowd to watch a trial gameam Bays wrote:Good to get back into footy last night.

Re: 2024 Trial Games
Much the same at the women's game last week. Modest crowd and good footy. Great feeling at Thebby, with the vast expanse of the oval and the city skyline behind.Bluedemon wrote:I totally agree with you, it was good to get back to some SANFL footy once again, and it was a good crowd to watch a trial gameam Bays wrote:Good to get back into footy last night.

Re: 2024 Trial Games
A spectacle for the ages it certainly was not, but neither sides intensity and work rate could be questioned. Thought West looked more potent ariallly up forward although we were missing a couple in Grace and McCormick. Dogs midfield recruits looked good..gone are the days where we look undersized on ball… Nutta junior and Gaspar will add polish around the goals..Brodlach wrote:Surprised and encouraged by the two games scores.southernbulldog wrote:I know it was only a trial game but every time we play West they are dull boring snoozefests and tonight was no exception .

Re: 2024 Trial Games
Slightly interesting scenario after the West/Centrals trial.
Thommo kept the players on the oval at the end of the game for at least 10 minutes maybe longer for a chat. All players stood around listening along with support staff and a few supporters. We were miles away so couldn't hear what was being said but was interesting thing to do given they could have easily walked into the changeroom for the chat. Maybe it was going to be cooler outside.
