Bays by a point after another dodgy free kick to the Eagles from Mitch Harris (due to him being out of position cause he can’t run) but thankfully we’re 7 points up….
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Glenelg by 9 goals. If Rowe et al milk frees, Glenelg by 5 goals.

Rowe will have a quiet one, the mighty Ben Ridgeway will destroy him.

The bays to then break it open midway through the 3rd and then win by as much as they feel like as the Eagles drop off acknowledging their inevitable exit.

This might blow out quicker than I thought.

I hope the Bays at least got dinner out of the umpires before they bent them over.

The umpires are a joke - and the punchline: Corey Bowen is listed as the emergency.

They're crap, but I'm hoping none of them gets injured.

F*** Me
Thought Giles Lewis tge one with hair was OK - consistent let the game go!

Ben Williams in consistent but at least made good positions

Mitch Harris as old umpire coaches used to say about me: can’t bounce, can’t run can’t ******* umpire

He was a new level of in competent when it came to paying holds not paying them, HTB not HtB due to no understanding of no prior! And f*** me don’t get started on his positioning!

It’s an embarrassment when good umpires like Aaron Bennet and Dan Whittlesea get cut for finals.

Eagles dominated the hit outs and the free kick count and that was it.

Had we kicked for goal a bit better in the 2nd quarter, we could’ve made a game of it, but Glenelg answered every time we did kick straight and when they kicked the last of the 2nd quarter and the 1st of the 3rd quarter, it was flag up.

Top of the ladder after Round 10. 8 losses and 1 win since, with the biggest of those in the last two games of the season.

A lot of work to do over the off-season. None more so than the coaches box. Every team worked out the Eagles by the second time they met. By the end of the season there was no obvious team plan, no getting numbers to the contest, no help in cutting off short leads whereby the opposition would get themselves in goal scoring positions.

For Thompson, Goldsworthy and Redden - fantastic, successful careers and all three were better players for the Eagles in their final games. A good send off by the Eagles faithful and some class shown by Glenelg, who themselves have some champions who will be coming to the end sooner rather than later, and would have gone into battle against the Eagles trio plenty of times over the years.

Glenelg might just have got the confidence boost they needed over the last two weeks and will take some beating. They know what it takes. Something it seems this Eagles team needs to learn again.
