What's the deal with the ladders on PlayHQ? Have PDCA changed the points system?

I have the LO2 Ladder as:

22.22 - Adelaide Risers
20.19 - Virginia
13.32 - Adelaide Warriors
13.13 - Enfield United
12.98 - Parafield Gardens
12.39 - Parafield Gardens Titans
12.33 - Adelaide Union
11.68 - One Tree Hill
03.97 - Sutton Derby

Who knows. Every week so far the LO1 has changed.

Bonus points weren't added then they were with no BP for runs and wickets and now they have all, but I haven't gone and checked them to see if they are right.

I would be backing your points rather than play HQ

Virginia to chase down Angle Vale's 322.
Westies to go 0-2 early losing by 20 runs.
Hazara to post 350+
Time will cut Craigmore's hopes of an outright by about 20 minutes.

Craigmore to make a slow and steady 220.
Royals to fold even cheaper in their 2nd dig.
Westies to limp over the line 8 down.

Well done to Willi, he’s great to watch when on song.

I went to Angle Vale after being given an update of 2/70 after 20, 9/116 when I got there.

Appears losing a couple of stalwarts has hurt them and that the first-round scramble due to a wedding was an indicator numbers aren't great there.

Sad to see, at one point the 2000's they had 3 team if not four.

Tough gig community cricket.

The biggest worry is the list of teams forfeiting are the OG type clubs OTH, ER (Rose & Crown), Craigmore and not so much these pop up clubs.

Nah not sure I agree so much - you're looking at their 4th, 5th, 6th sides.. they're still very strong.

I know from our position at Enfield (particularly juniors) the Indian celebration of Diwali and New Year played a major part in unavailability.. will be tested again this Friday with the ODI.

I think the forfeits are reflection peoples commitment / interest / care factor levels... for instance I had a bloke message me Saturday morning, literally said "Not playing today, too hot."

How do we rejuvenate community cricket?

I filled in on the weekend and played against a team with 9 players who absolutely flogged us

It's easier having 2-3 teams than one, you'll generally have a group of about 16 to choose from and even then some get jacked if they miss out a couple of weeks, especially if they come in and don't get a hit or a bowl.

Apart for OTH, those other clubs that forfeited were ER's F Grade, PG's E Grade along with NP's and Craigmore's D Grade. Not great but you're gonna get that from here until Christmas.

Great question, and I have no idea!

Perhaps a re-jig of the community cricket structure? Bring back a version of Churches cricket, rebrand it like Metro Central.. PDCA can be Metro North.. ASCA can be Metro South and then re-align clubs? Don't know if that would help but would at least promote more "local" games and perhaps see a connection back at the club.

Flexibility with start times, and days played could be explored - start at 11am some games if allow, or if you've got good lights perhaps the odd day/night fixture.. Sunday morning or afternoon games.. or Friday night.. remove any barriers?

Perhaps some modified grades - like 9 a side or reduced overs or modified rules i.e. retire at xx, face xx balls, bowl xx overs

I really don't know haha

Yeah it seems or feels that the more 'serious' community football has gotten has resulted in cricketers becoming less committed.

I think for cricket it's a combination of 1000 cuts not just one major factor.
