Surely you have a gardener??

A dozen of the fleshiest tomatoes you'll see picked off this morning.

I have tomatoes coming out of my ears lol.

This weekend I think I’ve picked about 4 kg.

My larger tomato varieties are no where near ripe but getting a steady pick of the cherry Tom’s.

Sweetcorn looks better this year but not quite ready to pick. If they are not much better than previous years then this will be the last crack.

The experiment with leaving the capsicum plants in over winter is paying dividends. Good size tasty fruit much more advanced than new seedlings each year.

I went to add some manure, soil and dynamic lifter to my compost the other day to prepare for planting the vegies by months end.

I was shocked to see no worms unlike the last couple of years, I throw in heps of veggie scraps every week and thought the soil would be quite rich and full of worms.

Do I need to add worms before I mix it in with my veggie soil or will it be fine how it is? If so, where do I buy worms from?

Had an old bloke that ived down the road called Fred, we called him "The worm Guy" we seen him eat one when we were kids.

Lost a leg at about 86, used to sit out the front of his house in his jocks and white singlet as we played "boats" in the gutter after or during a decent rain, then we we discovered who far the creek a couple of streets over went, the game got a whole lot bigger.

His van didn't even have any candy in it when we checked, despite having "free candy" written on the side.

Unusual.

Perhaps the worms are below the fork depth. Did it look like the scraps had been taken care of by the worms? Large amounts of acidic scraps like onions can drive worms away.

Perhaps dig somewhere else in the garden and if you find worms relocate them.
