Fun fact - according to PlayHQ, this year was the first time Benny Russell has EVER been selected in a B grade game as far as records go back to 2011.

In all seriousness surely you cant name blokes who arent at the ground. The Bedge wrote:Thanks for the idea - took your advice - no where to be seen vs Adelaide Lutheran.Arch44 wrote:Could always look for him on the footage, if your desperate.
Our league 'technically' a player has to step foot on the oval for their game to count. Obviously proving otherwise ect would be pretty difficult if a team tried to avoid this but that's the general rule for our comp.

It's a rule everywhere - proving they didn't is the hard part.whufc wrote:Our league 'technically' a player has to step foot on the oval for their game to count. Obviously proving otherwise ect would be pretty difficult if a team tried to avoid this but that's the general rule for our comp.

Will get in touch with a West Croydon lad I know. He'll be able to verify whether he played Bs in Rd 9, given he played on him against Central United the year before head to head.ScotchOnRox wrote:Very fishy...

Rosewater vs OSB Lonsdale looks like it was a cracking game - commiserations to the Sullies, I was on the bandwagon.
Houghton with a flex in the ressies too/
Next week interesting set of clashes:
D6 / D6R - Sam Johnson Mountain
Fitzroy vs Ingle Farm
Ingle Farm vs Houghton
D6 / D6R - St Pauls College
St Pauls vs Rosewater
Adelaide Lutheran vs Rosewater

I'm sorry, just seems incredibly hard to believe that a bloke who hasn't played B grade footy in like 15yrs is suddenly going to roll out and play B grade against the bottom side, and as a mid/fwd doesn't kick a goal or get in the best players.

For us, end of the day to be the best you have to beat the best, and Benny played us last time, we are certainly prepared for him this week.. but geez there are a lot of question marks around him actually playing those two games during the season.
Especially when he rolled up on the Saturday morning at our ground and few lads said was his first game for the year, just got back the night before from wherever.

Another question Re: Goal Umpires. The Bedge wrote:What’s your decision?
On Saturday in the last quarter, the ball hit the goal umpire who was out of position and stopped a goal, knocking it back into play. 106.30 on Dartfish if you're interested. Then a touched snap resulted. Goal Umpire speaks to Field umpire telling him it hit his left shoulder then pointed to where he was standing. Field umpire ignores him and calls a point.
The goal would have put OSB/L within 8 points with 4 minutes left,
2 umpires watching the game with us 1 AdFL & 1 SFL both said it should be a goal. Any umpires on here that can clarify?

Live, it didn't look like he got near it and why the long conference if a point remained a point? Why show him where he was hit behind/on the line?
