Hey Quichey, who are these handful of central U/19 players you refer to? The only ins for the game against Houghton were Alistar Forwood (5 games), Bradley Perry (3 games), Gary Sumpton (4 games), and Lachlan Warner (2 games) and they've all played since...???
Dunno who, just what I was told. It would only be four or five players.

Glenunga's oval is similar to Westminter's. A good size from goal to goal with very wide wings. A pretty good oval to play on actually
glenunga prob a bit smaller, has terrible changerooms....could be heccies 2nd oval soon for the heccies cricket club, heard that glenunga cricket club has folded,
what the news on the future on glenunga fc?? heard rumours of merger with PAC few years back, if they go down to div 7 you would think it be the end of them but i dont think they get relagated...
How do they go from only having seven scoring shots against CLG and being pumped to having twenty scoring shots against you and being competitive. Admittedly they were back on home turf, but did you guys not click too well on Saturday?
Not really thinking about that yet, still a long way to go. The lads are just really keen for this week, have been looking forward to this match for some time. Hopefully the league takes the debacle of last year into account and sends two decent umpires to the game.

Didn't you blokes give them a bit of a touch up at Houghton last year?

We didnt play our best, but glenunga are definately better team then what they look, especially at home but i heard from 1 of glenunga's player girl friend that they played alot more intense this match
Quichey wrote:Yup. The debacle occured when we played at Heccies.
when ur abusing and giving s#$t to the umps they give free kicks against you, there was an article in the sportsbeat about how free kicks are given if you abuse the ump and show discent, but those umps were pretty shocking but i think alot of the umpires need to realise that the players are ment to make an impact on the game not them
The umpires quickly let the game descend into a farce. Frustration boiled over which saw one of our players and one of your players both get suspended for two games. We did flip our lids at them in the last quarter, but had done well to bite our tongues for the first three. I just hope they let the game flow on Saturday.
The lads have learnt from that day and have been very controlled and disciplined this year, getting on with the game and letting the umpires do their thing.
Hope Valley v Lockleys - Hopefully the boys respond to last Saturday's performance. Lockleys not to be taken lightly. Trininty OS v CLG - Colonel Light should be too good. Trinity need to jag a win here or will stay middle of the table Westminster OS v Brahma Lodge - Westminster by plenty. Warburton to kick 7 Houghton v Hectorville - Houghton fired up from a piece of paper, Heccies to win by 6 goals + West Croydon v Glenunga - Toss a coin, Glenunga if it was at Webb Oval. West Croydon just at home
glg- should be an interesting game especially to see if clg are the real deal and if trinty do have these "central u19" players drop back.
westminster- need i say more
houghton- at home, fired up, and maybe their last chance of staying out of div 7
glenunga- hard to pick but also fighting to stay out of relegation and if they lose this one it will be a battle for bottom next week and knobody wants to be there half way through the year.

Hope Valley vs Lockleys - HV resting Luke Hann, dropping Greeny, maybe adding a little more zip to the line-up. Lockleys has obvious and exploitable weaknesses. Surely Hope Valley couldn't drop the ball on this one, will win by 25 points. Westminster vs Brahma Lodge - WOS too classy, too fast. Will win by 61 points. Trinity vs Colonel Light Gardens - Interesting midfield battle in this one, but Trinity don't have the forward firepower to counter CLG's miserly defence. CLG by 16 points. West Croyden vs Glenunga - Where is Stubberfield? Who cares. Where is Scorpion, First Lady of Division 6?! Sorry, but with your team struggling with depth, Glenunga will win by 34 points. Houghton Districts vs Hectorville - No Olsen listed!! GEFUGGED!! I'd been looking forward to this game and squaring off with him again. I feel robbed. Anyway, much free booze on the line for the Raiders and will win by 7 points (43 points if we get fired up by 'the piece of paper').
