Rupert, welcome back, must have been something drastic to drag you down the mountain. this not it. this is just a mild hic-cup on the road back to their proper place in things for Ovingham. look forward to this weeks results and your input

Just keeping the ear to the ground as all good doggies should.
Spotted a forfeit in Div 7 reserves by the Cats, injuries and availabilities, unpaid subs or something else NG?

well Rupert, the funny thing is nothin gets said until there's something go wrong!

We had 13 A graders, inc myself, NA this week due to work or injuries, i'm not sure how many B graders but obviously we didn't have enough to field a side. it is unfortunate but that's how it was last week. we should get a lot back in this week and we'll be lookin to get win number 2 on the board against Uni!

You'd be a good chance of a win this week. I thought the team you had was pretty good and the result would have been a lot closer had you not been missing some good players. You guys play your oval really well, the first half was incredibly frustrating for us, but our blokes responded to some good coaching and our structures started to work well and we kicked away.

And I had been getting from other teams that you blokes like to 'go the elbow', so to speak, but I didn't see any of that, game was played in pretty good spirits.

Well put Quichey..
Think the Cats put up a fair effort with the personel they had..
and maybe would've been alot more competitive in the last had they not run out of steam.
Alot of tired legs out there that just couldn't do anything about your momentum.

Well C. Newmans interim position has been filled very quickly thanks to NG the recruiting maestro!!!

Congrats and welcome to Adam 'Supercoach' St. John who will take over as of this week. he was out on Saturday and got to know a few of the lads, let's hope he can bring a few new ideas and help us to get over the line a few more times before the years out.

Adam comes to us after a spell out of coaching but is keen to jump back in. his previous appointment was, if i'm not mistaken, at the Wunkar Bulldogs in the RIFL. he comes with plenty of footy nouse and should be a key in turning things around.

Running out of puff has nothing to do with groundsize Keepitreal.. I'm sure you know, but kudos to you for not missing the opportunity for a dig at the Cats.

Nuggety.. sure he's far from a SuperCoach, heard he's not a bad bloke tho.. Tough but Fair.

No dig intended, would have thought only able to get up to a short hard sprint before you ran out of room, but repetitive short sprints would tax players endurance and aerobic fitness.

Could be more coherent, rational statements as well as pathetic attempts at humor coming from Lads in the future now that he has gone soft and not drinking booze, instead choosing a drink that matches his IQ ............coke "Zero"

NG, that's good news for the Cats filling the spot so quickly. I'll have to do some homework now with my Riverland contacts 'cause it's a while since Wunkar were anywhere near a force up that way. Ever been there, a pub/shop and 2 wheat silos, not a lot to inspire anyone.

Aceman..
Believe he took Wunkar to 4th in (2003) his first year and maybe should have gone abit further except Cobby snatched a come from behind win in Elim Final.
And had a pretty ordinary 2004 (6th) due to a lack of Cattle.
Players spread pretty thin in the RFL if you count up all the senior teams.
Dogwatcher be able to fill you in tho, probably wrote about it in the local rag up there.
Good Luck Ovies!
