There's a whole page of them in the special issue of BM available with the "POMS to PREMIERS" book. Not sure who wrote them but quite clever

Well what else can be said. This is my most favourite week of the year. The Advertisers coverage has been incredible. What else can I say i am pumped for the game.
I think the start of the game will be very important for both sides. If the Dogs can gain some scoreboard pressure early it could be tough for Sturt. Youd think the doggies experience should be enough to get us over the line. On the other hand if Sturt can get away to a good lead early and get some confidence it would be very dangerous for the dogs.
Im picking us by hopefully 23 points.
PS. GO U DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Must admit it was superb today - lots of great in-depth reading, well done!

Centrals haven't yet played a Grand Final with a really close finish. Their smallest losing margin of the four is 36 points to Port, and the two closest winning margins are 23 and 28 points both against the Eagles.

ooops, you're right spelly. And I even went to the Centrals site to check. It shows 8.13(61) to 5.9(38) I didn't look at the goals and behinds, just the points!

Lets hope that all the umpires do a good job and are fair to both sides on sunday.

Was interesting to just hear from Russell Ebert who, as an impartial observer last week, thought the Bays got an absolute ride with the umps.

Heard that call and not sure which game Bay supporter could have possibly been referring to.

Re: 2009 Grand Final - Central vs. Sturt @ Football Park
Just got home from the presentation in Rundle Mall...and all I can say is...
BRING IT ON!!!
There was a reasonable turnout. I put the turnout as 50/50 for both supporters. Centrals looked cool, calm and collected (Dutschke went up on stage with his sunnies on) and for Sturt, some players looked keen but some players, by the look in their eyes, looked a touch nervous. There was plenty of noise from Sturt supporters, particularly those near the N.W. corner of the canopy at the start of the presentation and it took a while for Dogs supporters to fire up.
As for whether Brant "Wounded Knee" Chambers will play...I couldn't care less if he does (and i'm certain Roy doesn't either)...
And for the game...I feel pretty relaxed and confident right now...but i've got a feeling there could be some crowd trouble
...I hope We're Slow and the boys in blue are up to the task...
Tonight i'll be sitting back and chillin and i'll be watching the following DVD's:
* Hooligans & Thugs (Soccer doco)
* Biffs, Bumps & Brawlers volume 1 & 2
* plus watching a few G.F. DVD's from the last few years...

I was at the Mall presentation and did ask the question if Glenside had been closed down.. turns out it has!
It's all the SANFL's fault.

Double Blues, Dogs ready for GF battle
JAI BEDNALL
October 03, 2009 04:30pm
CENTRAL District and Sturt fans were given one final chance to offer their sides support before tomorrow¿s SANFL Grand Final at the traditional presentation of both teams in Rundle Mall this afternoon.
A crowd of up to 800 gathered under the Gawler Place canopy at 1pm, with Double Blues fans slightly outnumbering their Bulldog counterparts.
Each player was individually presented, with the biggest cheers reserved for Sturt players Brant Chambers and Toby Thurstans, who both suggested they have shrugged off injury concerns by training strongly this morning.
Central co-captain Matt Slade said his side was prepared for a tough battle tomorrow at AAMI Stadium.
``I wouldn't say we're overly skilled but we make up for it without our endeavour and our tackling and ability to turn the footy over,” Slade said.
“That's what got us where we are.”
