Is it over for Rann?

Labor, Liberal, Greens, Democrats? Here's the place to discuss.

If money is the motive, she is crazy, let sleeping dogs lie! IMO What she was syaing makes not only Rann look bad but more so herself!
Money is a great motivator - large amounts more so.
And of course if you were working as a waitress and you no longer have your job or your marriage, even through your own silly choices, it gets even more powerful.

Seems funny that the Libs are not all over this , calling for Ranns head. Must be more than a few skeletons in their closet that the Labor party know about. Or am I reading too much into the deafening silence ?

Mrs Jimmy - didn't think the little twerp had it in him

Kevin Rudd - Mike Rann sticks up for his state more than any other premier - gotta admit, he does go beyond the call for duty - appropriate coin of phrase there Kev

He didn't... he had it in Mrs Chantelois !!

This has it's own momentum, they don't need to say anything. Sure there would be heaps of skeletons in the cupboard on both sides, there may be some sort of "gentleman's agreement" on these matters

Yep, it looks like he's going to fight it. Will be very interesting to see how this one plays out. I don't think it's going to damage his standing very much to be honest. Watching her last night, it all seems a bit dodgy to me.

I would think he has denied to see how much "proof" the woman has. If she doesn't have any then he looks good for denying if she does well then he is up sh!t creek without a paddle.

Didn't see the whole interview - but just watched part of it on the news website.

A little technicality that I find interesting is that she says "Mike Rann"
If you had an intimate relationship like she says with someone - wouldn't you refer to him as just "Mike" :-??
You get what you give....

Now that he's denied it: if he is lying he has just committed political suicide.

Nor really, unless she has some evidence , which is probably why he has been told to deny it. They probably waited to see how the public reacted to the woman, then once they found quite a bit of the public are not sympathising with her, deny, deny, deny!!! Smart really

Rann's blaming Channel 7, not her for saying it. I find that interesting.

Would not think she or her advisors would have gone down this path without something pretty damn solid..
That coupled up with the way 7 are drip feeding the whole thing might just suggest the big bang (no pun intented) is yet to come ??

Seven provided the medium, but if she's the one doing the lying, surely you'd be angry at her too??

You can't get angry at such a close personal friend... ;)
