Responsibility does not lie with the club, or the player, its mutual. Of course a junior is going to be tempted to go back to their old club after SANFL. NM is just having a cry that so many good players are going back to henley. Its not our fault we breed em so well when they're young! Sack up ya cry baby NM :((

It`s ahame you can`t breed them to win Premierships..

Would have probably played alotta league games and been a gun of the SANFL for a long time[/b]. He's decided to go back to Henley to have more fun with his footy and is not worried about money. Costs henley no points as he played his juniors there. Cody hicks and Sam daveron may also be coming as they are all best friends. They've both played league aswell and their juniors at henley so again, no points costing henley.

Willo , you claim that eagle supporters said that SF was past it but Combuster claims he's a gun. what's the story chaps?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Personally, I think Fairclough is too slow for SANFL.

Other Eagles supporters say he struggles to get 10 posessions a game and was carried by Fuller.

No mercy, no doubt you would love to have your team in A1, and in a Grand final, but hardly likely to happen at Seaton until you hit A3!!

Would have been a chance the years before that too if they had a coach.

We all agree on something then.
I'll give them a little credit for the years before, they were well under the 35k salary cap.
No comparison to now!

Seems to be the go for most other Div forums so here goes, any early ladder predictions for the upcoming year with recruits and departures so far.
Mine goes as follows.

Goodwood - same old story, who can beat them?
Henley - good pick ups, will get it together this year, big scores ahead
Gepps X - around the mark always, will push for top 2 but question over team cohesion still
TTG - Maybe not as strong as last year but definately a force still
Broadview - solid core group, experience should give the edge in important games
Gaza - many recruits but maybe time for a lean season
PNU - haven't heard much on recruits, will prove tough but lack the finishers
Sals Nth - rumour of lots of players gone, how will they bounce back
Pt Districts - good form last year, steed and others missing will prove bigger lose than thought
SHOC - Won't have the cattle

All this will change after pre season but hey, Just an opinion, lets here yours..........

jeez you blokes are never satisfied , some-one wins a premiership . everyone else says they payed for it [ therefore --the rest of the clubs wasted their money ]. it is D1: clubs pay
get over it,
some of the best footy you can see on a satdy arvo [ at no cost ] standing so close to the action that it gets the old juices pumping. having a beer and a chat with old team-mates .
really what have you people got to winge about
give thanks that we get to watch players that are far better and fitter than we ever were [but never tell them that ] each week

let's forget the money talk in this Div

not sure if this has been mentioned yet (can't be bothered going through the posts) but is there any truth to the rumour about club stalwart chris clonan not playing at gepps x next year? any idea where he might be playing if this is true?
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

Your information is correct LF, Chris has indicated he will not be playing at Gepps Cross in 2010, I believe he has booked himself an overseas trip and will not be available until late June .
He has a couple of crook knees but would still be great value to any club if he decides to have a kick when he returns.
Chris has been terrific for the Gepps Cross Football Club, a Premiership player, a B&F winner and Runnerup on many occasions, we wish him well in whatever he chooses to do.
He will always be welcome at the home of the Gepps Cross Rams, many thanks #41

I wonder how their discussion went yesterday with an ex AFL/SANFL gun player.
