Re: Tribunal and other matters
On the weekend, at half time we asked an umpire to investigate one of our guys getting bitten. Once he was bitten he retaliated with a headlock and was penalised 25 metres. This umpire walked away and refused to even listen to us or look at the proof....... Absolute power hungry fool with no feel for the game he was.... And we were 12 goals up at half time so no real reason to worry about much else...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

how is a player supposed change the way they do something if we cant even get an explanation on why a free was given.
Ask your captain to ask the umpire.
That doesn't get you anywhere either.
Our captain went to the umpire the other week & asked "why isn't it holding the ball when a player drags the ball in on the ground & shows no attempt in getting the thing out, the umpires response was "this aint the AFL this is Amateur League & we don't apply with the same rules"
Thats fair dinkum
that is right that holding the ball rule is the afl rule not in the amateur league rules. it is a very bad rule made by that umpires diretor of afl who should get the sack

Bullsh!t, some umpires are paying it & some arn't in the Amateur League.
If you drag the ball in & under & show no sign of getting the ball out its holding the ball.
Great bloody rule i think, your on the outer with your thoughts pal.

I agree should be holding the ball, and you are right some umpires have been paying it this season, regardless of whether its an "AFL rule" or not, common sense says bad luck buddy your holding the pill

the hosie report
since when can an umpire challenge what some says that umpire should grow some balls and umpire instead of having a chip on his shoulder. this umpire wont go far if he reports for so little and also his coaches should be teaching him to umpire and call it how u see it and to protect the ball player get every head high tackle and let the play flow so the players dont get frustrated. and he should learn to respect everyone and not be a smart ass.

Once your total games suspended reaches 12 you're gone for life?
no you have to reapply to amauter league to play again after you sever your penalty at the start of the next season their is no precedent to this

And more than likely the suits a SAAFL HQ will deny your application
