Re: 2023 Adelaide footy League - Division 6
I love how Elzabeth Fields and Elizabeth West merged to lose the "Elizabeth" tag, now they are elite and known as Davvo!! They featured on a Bogan TV show on a regular basis, seen a few familiar heads on it.

There’s at least 8-10 of us with 30+ Smithfield A grade games each. Plenty of experience.

Re: 2023 Adelaide footy League - Division 6
Jake Reynolds from Elizabeth to Fitzroy, massive addition to their midfield for 2022
Apparently Fitzroy spending large for a few players for next year within the area, could be a massive underdog being there 18s won a flag coming up into the seniors with a good handful being high quality just out from their sanfl clubs.

Reynolds played at BSR this year didn't he? Handy player.
Fitzroy will be good enough next season if they keep their core group - their young players are as good as anyone, and with guys like Rusby and Rosenthal at either end makes for a very well balanced lineup.

Think he's saying he's looking for a trial game, and has an oval available?

Re: 2023 Adelaide footy League - Division 6
Without paying much attention to off season movement, and based on last year etc. Marion would have to be best situated for an assault on this division and promotion to D5.
Salisbury have done well to turn things around, and if word is true of 3 teams, then that's brilliant, you'd have to think they'll be ultra competitive along with Fitzroy.
Rosewater and Units will be pretty even, St Pauls should be steady, and I wouldn't be discounting Greenacres chances of continuing their climb back to the upper divs.
Not sure how Adel Lutheran will manage the step up - they had a good finals series last year, but were the 3rd best A grade team, and Brahma Lodge appear to have lost some key personnel to Salisbury and Para Hills which will test their depth.
Smithfield back from the dead, numbers are growing each week, but i suspect it'll be a tough first year back, and getting through the season should be the main goal.
Predicated ladder:
1. Marion
2. Fitzroy
3. Greenacres
4. Rosewater
5. Central United
6. Salisbury
7. St Pauls OS
8. Adelaide Lutheran
9. Brahma Lodge
10. Smithfield

Smithfield seem to have the numbers going past Tonight didn't think they would pull a side together. Who Evers running the show at the Panthers it seems to be working?

Yeah definitely seem to be doing some good stuff out there.
Just going off Facebook announcements and photos there seems to be a lot of older boys come back (mid 30's types) who probably don't have more than a couple of years left in the tank.
As long as they can hold on to their juniors then they should be fine for years to come. That will be their challenge. Especially if on field results are tough to come by initially.

What is the backup plan if Smithfield cant quite get the numbers?
9 teams or someone else comes in?

May become a 8 Team division, apparently mass exodus at the Lodge earlier this week...

I'd be more worried about Elizabeth at the moment,

Re: 2023 Adelaide footy League - Division 6
I've been hearing Smithfield have brought the U17s up into the Senior ranks if that's the case, Will be interesting to see how it happens because Marion have done the same thing the last 3 years young blood is important probably is better then calling on the same 30+ year Olds year after year?
