I understand that Marshall acquitted himself very well at the conference following Redmond's announcement.
Impressed some of the stalwarts.

I heard him on the radio this morning and he seemed ready to step up to the plate despite the constant line of questioning about Downer.

Re: The South Australian Political Landscape
Probably not relevant but I've never met Anthony Mundine and on a hunch I'm 99.99% sure he's a dickhead.
That said, I haven't seen or heard enough of Marshall to make any comment, other than to suggest that it would be a big ask for someone with as little parliamentary experience as he has to not only lead a political party but to head into an election campaign against Labor in South Australia.
I wish him well but he will need to do what many before him couldn't in unifying a bunch of muppets.
Unfortunately for us, Labor are full of muppets themselves.
Lord help us.

add in Jay and the speed king talking about unity
Didn't Jay challenge Foley for the deputy's job, miss out, only to subsequently knife the premier instead?

Re: The South Australian Political Landscape
That change was badly needed, Rann was in for too long, the electorate knew it, most of the ALP knew it.
The Liberals tend to just swap and challenge for the sake of it.

Very true, but the Labor hacks are much better shots than the Liberal ones ... they've been missing their targets for years

So "yes" would be the answer to the question?
