I am told the club that has likely spent the most cash this season is ND, for a 13th (of 14) outcome. SACA need to be given the ability to turn this funding tap off, or demand it be used for development rather than payments.
Div 1: Sturt vs Kensington Tea Tree Gully vs West Torrens
Div 2: SACA U19 vs Woodville (winner to play East Torrens)
2nd Grade: Tea Tree Gully vs Sturt University vs Glenelg
3rd Grade: Tea Tree Gully vs Sturt Kensington vs University
4th Grade: Sturt vs Kensington Adelaide vs Port Adelaide
Womens Grand Finals 1st Grade: Glenelg vs Kensington 2nd Grade: Glenelg vs West Torrens
Thought WT might play for the draw today Reckon easier semi playing Sturt than going out to TTG.
Heavily discussed throughout the Saturday afternoon and decided not to play fate with the 'Cricket Gods'. Plus, there was an outside chance of an outright win and top spot. A case of be careful what you wish for as we've seen what contriving a result can do at times. Boys were very much of the opinion to play anyone, anywhere, anytime.

Yep, pretty fair call. If the cricket gods were in play we would have got the 9mls of rain they predicted and would have been out of WT control. At least getting to 3rd helps if they do make GF and Kensy win also (which I think they will over Pom less Sturt).
Can't have it there.....it will upset the SANFL and Woodville/West Torrens [emoji6]
Will all depend on oval availability with the SANFL Club. Would think can only be Woodville or Glenelg.
no SANFL games are on at Woodville or Glenelg Oval that weekend
In the 16 & 18's Glenelg are playing WWT at Richmond Oval this Sat, been scheduled in for a while so Im guessing both clubs still have access to their oval for cricket.
TTG vs West Torrens at Pertaringa Tim Oakley's opening spell vs the WT top order perhaps decides the game. Don't think the Gullies have the wicket taking weapons if the Eagles get through the new ball.
Sturt vs Kensington at Price Memorial Kensington's batting has been struggling lately. Shield final changes their line up quite a bit. Sturt full strength. I think Kelly, Kelly, Harvey, Davis will be too strong.
This is Tony Clifton! A name to respect! A name to fear!

I reckon it will be a TTG v Sturt GF

Agree, think Kensy team looks weak on paper, but they do have the history to cause upsets and Sturt been known to choke, have not won a trophy for a long time. TTG batting strong and WT bowling not as strong without injured Ruether and no spinner. TTG and Sturt for me too.
Is there a certain amount of overs that the 1st innings batting team have to declare or can they just bat for 2 days? This rule seems to change from season to season, but from memory, it was 120 overs a few seasons ago?

You can only bat on for 10 overs the next day, gives a total of 100 overs max, and the other team then gets 78 overs. Been a good change and gives both teams chance to win.
Manenti would have to be a chance for the Bradman Medal, and possibly a Redbacks contract for next season? Credit to Walshaw for sticking with him to give WT something to defend.
A different story in the other game with Kensington dictating play, declaring and getting a handy wicket before stumps.
Woodville a comfortable 1st innings win on day 1 against SACA U19.

I went looking for the answer after posting and unless I’m reading it wrong on page 14, it looks like there is no compulsory declaration this season?

Will post my phantom Bradman predictions next week, but have Manenti coming second on 21 votes behind runaway winner Brad Davis on 26.
