Re: Phil Walsh murdered
It has consumed my mind since 7:30 this morning when I heard the news - so sad and so tragic! On the game I am all for them postponing, cancelling whatever the 22 that take the field want to do, IMO it is entirely up to them and the coaching and support staff. Walsh would have sat with all of them already and discussed this particular game and their team and individual roles that they are to play to attempt to beat Geelong on Sunday - this will have been the last time he had the chance to do this. They will have their team rules that will follow on all year, but for a specific game this is it - if they were up to it I would love to see them see out his plans one last time but there is always that other side of me that will say "what if they play and dont?" how will that affect them mentally?

Re: Phil Walsh murdered
Mark Williams has had his own battles in recent times, but has also lost 2 massive allies in a short period in Walsh & Bailey, both critical in Port success.
He much be bewildered what life has thrown at him recently.

Confirmed.
I really hope that either side doesnt miss the 8 as it seems a little unfair that other results count

Not sure it has.
Would prefer the whole round to not count.

That would present its own set of inequalities though. I think the AFL have made the best choice available to them

If Sunday's game is, as I expect, canceled or postponed, I would like to see every person who was to attend the match still head to Adelaide Oval, still take their seat and reflect.
I actually bought my tix after hearing the news as I just wanted to be there if it went ahead to wear my Cats gear and cheer on the Crows. I know I put a lot of shit on the Crows but this is so much bigger than a game of footy.
My thoughts and love to all especially Crows fans as it must be bloody hard on them as its hit me like a brick to.the face.

Re: Phil Walsh murdered
Jim you surely cant expect the whole round to be postponed? The nightmare that would cause for the AFL would be ridiculous. This is the most logical idea and make the most sense. I just hope if all games have a minute silence for Phil Walsh they actually do a whole minute. In the past some have been no longer than 30seconds. A minute isn't a long time to give thanks to a guy that has added a lot to this game.

I'm cool if its 2 points each, 0 points each or a win to either side. Who really cares ATM.
