Thanks to Mitch Sandery for his six seasons, we appreciate everything he's done for the club - this means we're now on the hunt for a new coach!

Why doesn’t Henley have a home final and they are playing at Hope Valley. Surely that is a mistake

They had it up there at Hope Valley. I think the work experience kid was putting the info in playhq.

There’s a silly rumour circulating that Seaton are still training, that can’t be right can it?

With all 3 teams finishing 6th i'd suggest it cant be right. Nothing like a rumopur that makes you laugh though
For the Seinfeld fans this is akin to George Costanza an hour after the meeting turning the car around and driving back to the office with the "jerk store comeback". Its all done. I'd think the 5 month pre-season should be sufficient..

They were training as they have a heap of Renmark lads train with the club and they were in finals so the lads kept training to help them win the flag which they did today in the GFS Demon wrote:Maybe cruise past Pedlar Reserve Thursday night just to check..wristwatcher wrote:bubba love wrote:There’s a silly rumour circulating that Seaton are still training, that can’t be right can it?

Locks into Div 2, huge for the club, just hope they can take a flag up with them, will the GF be at Richmond?

More likely to be at Woodville.
Out of all this year's Grand Finals, none of them really have an out and out favourite - except this one. It's Henleys to lose
Can Lockleys be the first ever club to lose 3 grand finals, 2 years in a row?

Never been i Div 2. Have come from Div 6 9 years ago.jo172 wrote:When was the last time Lockleys made it into D2?

Obviously the players and Coaching staff deserve the credit but t goes to show when you have great administrators in place the club structure becomes sustainable and the on-field success follows. Big shout out to Rob Curnow who spent a few years as their footy manager and did great things and bought in quality people.

A few negative comments made towards Lockleys now from you, not sure what your gripe is with them? Yes, I am sure they would be disappointed they’ve lost the last couples GF’s, but I don’t think anyone can be negative towards where they are as a club now & where they’re headed.Footy Chick wrote:Dutchy wrote:Locks into Div 2, huge for the club, just hope they can take a flag up with them, will the GF be at Richmond?

Not getting into predictions for Saturday as I don’t know enough but just looking at the two results from the games between Henley & Lockleys this year, they’ve been 2 tight games in the A Grade so would think it would be close again. But I’m not close enough to either club so you may have a better idea than me

Unless it’s changed, Matt Lucas has been the footy director since about 2020, I think curnow was/is president for a couple yearswristwatcher wrote:Never been i Div 2. Have come from Div 6 9 years ago.jo172 wrote:When was the last time Lockleys made it into D2?

Re: 2024 Adelaide Footy League - Division 3
Yeah not sure exactly who does what but have had both Matty Dukes and Rob Curnow on Community Bounce and knew they were both key administrators. Have done great things. Matty still regularly messages me to ask about players. Very pro-active. Great people and when i have needed support both have been all to happy to have a chat with me.bertiebeatle1 wrote:Unless it’s changed, Matt Lucas has been the footy director since about 2020, I think curnow was/is president for a couple yearswristwatcher wrote:Never been i Div 2. I had Henley going 20-0 pre-season so they are the red hot favorites but would it be the ultimate Cinderella story if the local little brother could upset the super power with the footy factory. Hopefully its a good GF.
Its probably happened a few times but pretty significant stat that they play each other in all 3 grades next Saturday. I think Lockleys will get the chocolates in the B grade as they have Coaching genius of Shaun "The Beard" Williams in their corner.

I have just been told Div 1 Prelim is not at Richmond. I didn't ask what is but it appears more likely now.wristwatcher wrote:No i don't think so.
