Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 7
Sounds like Elizabeth has rattled the competition, coaches quitting because they can’t take the thumpings.
In all seriousness I hope they find someone that won’t quit on them and they can have a good second half of the season.

Not sure he quit. Sounds like he got the flick same as Alex Guy. Bit of that starting to creep in too.

Yes, sacking coaches is a completely new phenomenon never seen before until 2025

Early in the season was the point I didn't make very well.AdelaideSaint73 wrote:Not sure he quit. Sounds like he got the flick same as Alex Guy. Bit of that starting to creep in too.
The chatter on here pre-season was how hard it was to get good people in. Alex Guy being given 7 weeks is a mess. Flinders coach had been there longer as far as I know.
How many in-season sackings did we see last year?

Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 7
This is why we do it
FATHER, SON AND UNCLE
Great scenes on the weekend with Sonny McDonnell playing with his father, Nat, and uncle, Luke, in the B Grade side's win against Central United. This was Sonny's first, and hopefully not the last, Senior game for the Mitchell Park Football Club.
So many memories of little Sonny and little Clayton around the club and now they have both played together with their fathers and uncle.

Hackham coach stepped down rather than sacked. But the turnover percentage is accurate.

I'd like to revisit my Hackham implosion call. It's real. From looking top 3 to possibly missing finals. And no offense intended to MP, but carn.

Can someone run thru how the back end of the draw works in this comp, or point me to the post where it is covered?

After Rd 14, ladder splits into two pools (top 4 and bottom 4). Round robin in their pool for last 3 games.Dutchy wrote:Can someone run thru how the back end of the draw works in this comp, or point me to the post where it is covered?
Top 4 are locked in and playing for seeding.
Bottom 4 play off for 5th place.

Yup top 5.Dutchy wrote:Ah ok, so then a 5 team finals series?
Only downside as we learned the other year, is there is every chance you could play the same club 4 times in the space of a couple of months.. but it's a good format to keep clubs interested even if they're in the bottom part of the ladder.
