I'm in Norwood (for those that didn't know that ) and was up until 1:30am doing work. I do remember hearing all the neighbourhood dogs barking about as I was trying to fall asleep.

Mr H woke up after being hit in the head by the wall.
He found himself looking at a one foot gap between the ceiling joints and the wall, but thinking, ""I only had one red and one white."

I thought that someone had stolen the truck out front (I almost never leave it there) and put it into the wrong gear and hit the house and then continued to push us across the paving.
It was very strong here about 2 km from the epicentre.
I have felt some others shake the wood piers but this was the biggest.
Made me think about what I should do in a real quake!
