When the league tell them regardless you'll be in div 7 next year who would want to go up for one year and then have to go backwards? As a club that's trying to move forward with alot of decent kids and young talent it would be stupid to go up to 6 and fill the numbers for 10 weeks just to return back to 7. What do u think that might do to some of the kids? Definately not sandbagging and also want to play as high as possible. Have the youth to push up through the divs over the coming years if they all stick together
Youth do not want to play Div 7 and whats to say next year Marion or in that fact another team struggle to get 2 sides together you then play 2021 in div 7 and then you have to try and make a G.F to get promoted and what if only 1 team is promoted that year crazy not to jump at chances cause so many things can change during the year and before the start of the next season

This is no surprise.... They rejected going to div 6 so they could win a flag by 15 goals in a season that doesn't have promotion and relegation attached.
Well done to the brain trusts down there absolutely ridiculous and as someone who has criticised Houghton previously in relation to potential sand bagging - At least they stepped up to Div 6 when given the chance, proof they want to play higher, unlike BL, A joke of a club and have been for 15-20 years
Smokey, I cant comment on this season but I have a fair understanding of the last 15 or so. What are you referring too when you say basket case? What specific actions from the club has given you this opinion?
Everyone is pretty negative about Brahma Lodge, went and watched a few games down north Bramha very well structured and drilled will be hard to beat in div7 maybe even div6 with the speed and youth they have in the A grade always tough games at Mofflin.

Not too sure on his playing for the remainder of the year but if Lutheran continue to have Rowan Meigal running around then they are going to be hard to beat. I haven’t seen many better players running around div 3-6 over the last 15 years. He might be getting on but he is no doubt still an absolute star and there wouldn’t be many if any who would be a better player in div 7.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Have to agree LK we certainly had no answers for him, killed us in the trial and again last week.... Very hard man to stop at this level, has great reach and moves well, great awareness too he played on a few times and caught us napping. Very well organised team with plenty of run + height were Lutheran, looking like early standouts along with Brahma.

Wont be long and he'll earn promotion to the AL Ressies

doesn't Sports TSG advise you once you have the allocated 15 points that you cant select another player to take you over that limit?
It does if the system matches to the name and DoB. Doesn't work when a player has his name hyphenated in one league but then registered with us without the hyphen.
Also doesn't help when you think you have a good relationship with your mates down the road at the University but get dobbed in by them. I hardly knew ye crabbies
Also doesn't help when you base your whole recruitment strategy on getting 1 and 2 pointers to then have their points changed to 3 with no consultation.
But
Stupid thing to do and our match committee should know better. Cop the punishment, endeavour to do better and move on.
