Too many key outs for West today. By comes at a good time for them.

Johnson and Hampton to debut with Newell playing his first game for the year
Must be missing at least 12 first choice players today
Port have at least 22 first choice players missing every week
Yet still have a playing list worth 3 times the size of West's whole salary cap

Re: R10 West v Port @ Richmond
Port spent the half time break out in the middle. Apparently they complained that the change-rooms were too small..?

Re: R10 West v Port @ Richmond
i hope kids still had to.have a kick on the oval
i would have thought westies would have given up their larger change rooms
if i was their a few kicks might have accidently entered the players area
i hope they try & do that at the parade later in the year. it should make some intetesting
confrontations

I thought they'd finally had enough of the lack of hair dryers available at SANFL grounds.
That's what I heard anyway.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Re: R10 West v Port @ Richmond
With the Academy players, the AFL players and other club people there yesterday, Port decided that it would be a bit of a tight fit to have everyone in the change rooms, so decided to stay out on the ground at half time. They weren't interfering with the mini league or the kick and a catch, completely a non issue. Was great to be out there mingling with players and coaches, hearing what they were saying, and hearing some Academy players ripping into Mark Clayton who was getting his calves massaged.

Maybe just the immediate team and officials for the day go in and not a cast of thousands. I have never heard of any other teams wanting there 18's , reserves and other club people in the rooms at half time. How ridiculous .

How is it misleading
The coach when interviewed said they stayed on the field because the changerooms were too small
Or do you mean because it says Magpies and not Power reserves

As a side note, Port Magpies no longer have U/18s.

It's completely a non issue. The change rooms weren't "rejected" as the headline states, just the amount of people around the playing group at the half time break meant the rooms would be cramped, so they decided to stay on the ground. Used a part of the ground that wasn't used by mini league or kick and a catch.

Re: R10 West v Port @ Richmond
OK Rusty
As the writer of the headline I will bite.
If you don't like the term "rejected" what word would you use regarding Port's attitude to the facilities provided for them at half time and used by every other visiting league team to the ground over the past 57 years?
Declined ....., overlooked .... denied .... stood up .... abandoned .... passed over .... ignored ..... replaced .... ??

Re: R10 West v Port @ Richmond
It's been made to sound like Port have said "Those change rooms aren't up to our standards, we aren't using them", which as you'd know, is absolute crap.

Why so many people ?? Surely a "Please, can everyone in this room who does not have to be here leave?".........who was in the room ?? The reserves team, friends and family ???
Is out of change.....thanks Cambridge Clarrie!!!
