Congrats to Labuschagne.
Sure, easy pitch and easy situation, but he finally deserved those circumstances given all the times so far in his career, including before the Ashes, where he came in when we were in trouble (which is why he would have been in my Ashes team from the start)

I didn't think it was that bad, credit must go to Rizwan, it was a nice and tidy piece of keeping.Jim05 wrote:Dear oh dear Trav

3 fa, hard toil for the Pakistan bowlers today and Sohail out almost the same way in both innings is as bad as things can get for the tourists.Armchair expert wrote:5 down at stumps
I'm stoked that Labuschage made his first 100 a big one and good to see Wade able to cash in and get runs continuing his good form from the Ashes, he's one of the most improved players in the country.

He's the new Shaun Marsh, I just don't get it, what has he done to deserve an Australian cap?
I know years ago Langer was keen to get him to WA, is that whats driving it?

Definitely not the new Nick Marsh, but he's pretty lucky to be there. I think he actually has the talent, but just gets out playing dumb shots at dumb times. The Dark Knight wrote:daysofourlives wrote:Jim05 wrote:Dear oh dear Trav

Absolutely, it feels like he's the rash shot specialist which is super frustrating for us watching.

Re: 2019/20 Australian International summer
I think Travis Head as a test batsman gets a pass mark
12 tests
Averages 42
Any batsman that averages that batting mainly at 5 has done well enough
He has got himself out, often , rather than the bowlers get him out

Dismissal modes for Head in test match cricket-
Caught 10 (4 Wicketkeeper)
Bowled 5
LBW 6
Can't get it but I'd be interested to see his first class mode of dismissal list to get a better look at how he gets out.
He gets out in some frustrating ways sometimes, the two dismissals that stick out for me is the two in Perth last year where he was caught at third man. It was a weird dismissal the first time and then for it to happen again in the second innings was ridiculous.

Pakistan doing it on the bit at the moment
5/218
Babar 101*
Rizwan 52*
Both look like they are set to stay until tomorrow, no penetration from our bowlers on this what has become a road

Couple of half chances and a LBW we didn’t even appeal for that looked out
