But if his league is not playing (ie Mallee) then the contract is null and void.

I still don't think the player then has the right to choose where they play as a club has locked in numbers etc based on those who trained with them through the pre season.

I believe the player can only go back to the club they got cleared out from or a club they have played 25 games for beforehand.

We have three who won't be playing due to COVID. One works in a hospital, one isa recently-qualified tradie who needs the cashies on a Saturday, and one who was undecided about playing anyway.
