Yeah, I knew and get it from that perspective, but didn’t sit well with me in the aftermath of Adelaide seeing other players wear it … but maybe I’m just an old carrot* with no sense of humour. The Dark Knight wrote:The Ron Ball tshirts was all Travis Heads idea, facilitated by Cheets from Type Media- https://www.instagram.com/reel/DSjuKZRD ... pvN2JnYg==dedja wrote:Jim05 wrote:Nice of these weak **** to turn up when the series is done and dusted

I dunno, I suspect there was a hint of arrogance in the Aussie camp after Adelaide, I could be wrong though. I didn’t like the RonBall t-shirts for a start.
The divide between the 2 teams isn’t as great as the 3-0 score line suggests, and as has been well documented and discussed, the Aussies have been forever wallpapering cracks and you can’t expect to do that forever.
Fair play to the Poms if they do get up.

Re: The Ashes 25/26
The question has to be asked, will every Pom in this Test be knighted if they win?
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

After winning the series in adelaide I knew england would win either Melbourne or Sydney with the players we have out. I had no problem with the Ronball shirts bit of fun.dedja wrote:I dunno, I suspect there was a hint of arrogance in the Aussie camp after Adelaide, I could be wrong though. Re: The Ashes 25/26
The only thing with the Poms winning this one is that this will help them justify their clearly flawed approach to the tour … and maybe help one or two keep their jobs.

This result is going to halve The South Australian Footballer content so that’s a good thing

Re: The Ashes 25/26
Given Australia will lose its first home Ashes test since 2010, the English were probably right. This is Australia’s worst side since the 2009/10 Ashes

Re: The Ashes 25/26
Havent posted at all during the Test match.
Interesting just to read everyones thoughts and mainly everyone on the same page.
Alot of talk has been and will continue to be about the pitch, was it really that bad.
From what i watched probably 80% of Australian wickets that fell was due to rash shots. England got knocked over in the 1st dig with some better bowling although they are always suspect with their techniques.
As Deja stated we have been covering problems in our batting areas now for some time, sure bring Trav for 5 to open and has been successful no one expected what he produced in Perh but test tons at Adelaide for him are as common as the amount of beers he drinks. But him opening leaves a huge gap in the middle order, kind of robbing Peter to pay Paul. He needs to be at 5
I am still trying to work out why play Green in this test, his batting his been abysml and he has bowled a total of 5 balls in this match, surely he could have been given a few overs in the 2nd dig when England were cruising.
Fair enough Ashes won however i have the feeling it will end up 3/2, i like the England attack now, have guys that will bowl long spells not come in for 4 or 5 overs bowling the occasional 150kph ball.
Food for thought is how many of this current test 11 worthy test players, Not half IMO
Anyway had my say time to go back intoi hyberntion
Aussie Sydney Test side in batting order
1.
2.
3.
4. Smith
5. Head
6
7. Carey
8 Neser (only on his 1st innings here)
9 STARc
10
11. Boland
Usman and Marnus have to go, they will give Jake one more test i would think, Not sold on Green at all. Inglis is not test standard, although Heads getting runs at the top him not being at 5 leaves a huge hole at the minute.
Can you play Webster, hasn't played any cricket as such in 4 to 5 weeks
