Whatever the reason for parting company with AG, you'd just hope that Glenunga have been open with him about the reason/s why.

Maybe if Athelstone had done that with him, he might not be having issues now.

Pretty certain Athelstone didn’t push him out. AG quit, and within 3 months took the glenunga assistant role (my guess is to start a succession plan takeover from Grima 12 months down the track). Obviously the grass wasn’t greener it seems….
Looks like he did Athelstone a big favour though given how they have taken to their new coach since.
