Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Us, along with a lot of clubs have had to ring around to get retired players out to fill in when really short over the years.
Players have doubled up to avoid a forfeit.
A big crowd expected for Club Legend's 400th Senior game & 500th game and Past Players Day with Sullies 50th Year Anniversary.
They named a full team last week. Must be something serious to pull this bullshit.
Pathetic is an understatement.

Zero contact with OSBL as well, to see if they could organise something.Courtney Fish wrote:Us, along with a lot of clubs have had to ring around to get retired players out to fill in when really short over the years.

True.. our C grade today has about 15 players, no team manager, no trainer and we get to play Golden Grove! So no excuse for BOSCourtney Fish wrote:Us, along with a lot of clubs have had to ring around to get retired players out to fill in when really short over the years.

I see he’s playing in the main game now. Excellent outcome, all the best hope it’s a cracking day!

We could only scrounge up 12 players so had to pull the pin.The Bedge wrote:True.. our C grade today has about 15 players, no team manager, no trainer and we get to play Golden Grove! Massive turnaround by St Paul's over the Rnd 7 result, 100 odd Point turnaround

Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Went and watched a mate play C grade up at Houghton today against Adelaide Lutheran and was wondering what in the hell does Adelaide lutheran do?
Stayed around and had a couple of drinks and AL C grade would beat their A grade!
Felt sorry for the Adelaide Lutheran A grade watching them try their best while blokes in the earlier two games could have easily played!
Weird club if you ask me

I thought they would be right up there at the start of the season.old fullback wrote:Massive turnaround by St Paul's over the Rnd 7 result, 100 odd Point turnaround
There is an argument they are premiership favourites now. They've bested both Fitzroy and Ingle Farm in recent weeks.

Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Absolutely they deserve the title of premiership favourites.
They have incredible balance and good key position players.. they run deep in the 1s, and without being arrogant, beating Ingle Farm on their own deck isn’t an easy feat.
Along with Houghton beating Lutheran in the B grade, it’s really set that race for top 3 alight in both grades - I just hope we (Ingle Farm) can do enough to hold on to 3rd in both grades and avoid an Elim final.

Talks with a few GG boys post Ingle Farm grade that they might take claims to the C Grade flag too [emoji23]Hack wrote:I thought they would be right up there at the start of the season.old fullback wrote:Massive turnaround by St Paul's over the Rnd 7 result, 100 odd Point turnaround

Other than Adelaide Lutheran, which other club rates B-Grade flags over A-Grade competitive-ness?Usedtobegood wrote:Went and watched a mate play C grade up at Houghton today against Adelaide Lutheran and was wondering what in the hell does Adelaide lutheran do?

The Run Home
28 - Fitzroy - Ingle Farm (A), West Croydon (H)
24 - St Pauls OS - Adel Lutheran (A), Para Hills (H)
22 - Ingle Farm - Fitzroy (H), Rosewater (A)
22 - Rosewater - Para Hills (H), Ingle Farm (H)
18 - OSB Lonsdale - Houghton (A), Adel Lutheran (H)
16 - Para Hills - Rosewater (H), St Pauls (A)
14 - Houghton - OSB Lonsdale (H), Blackfriars (A)
12 - Blackfriars OS - West Croydon (H), Houghton (H)
Fitzroy minor premiers, even if they dropped the next two, their percentage is too good. They'll get the week off in a fortnights time.
St Paul's won the battle for 2nd spot, and will have a home final.. only way that changes is if Ingle Farm with both remaining games, and Para Hills upset the Saints which doesn't look likely to be honest.
ingle Farm now find themselves precariously placed in 3rd and could fall to 4th depending on the next fortnight.. very frustrating a lot of missed opportunities this year, should've been firmly entrenched in the top 2, but have ******* choked and failed at important times.
Rosewater are humming along nicely, Rd 18 clash with Ingle Farm will be for a home final.
OSB Lonsdale are in the box seat for 5th, expect them to win Rd 18 over Lutheran which would keep the break on Para Hills even if they lost this weekend.
Para Hills - need to do everything right - win both games + close 3% to OSB - no easy task, but Rosewater at home this week, they're a sniff, if they can win, it would set up a massive final round across the board with all games. Carn the Roos.
Houghton / BOS - seasons shot unfortunately, even if HD won the next two can't see them making up 6% on OSB, and would rely on AL beating the Sullies in the last round which seems unlikely. Kudo's to Houghton though, club is humming nicely, they've been consistent the past couple of years without quite making that next step, and have great depth at the club.
This finals series will be a belter - and clubs will be eager to get out of D5 - next year with Elizabeth and likely Brahma coming up, and 2 of Gaza, TOS and Salis coming down, D6 wont get any easier in 2026.

Re: 2025 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Is it top 5 finals????
Dumb question if IF and Rosewater finish 3rd and 4th how is that for a home final......???
Also, wouldn't worry about Elizabeth and Brahma Lodge, they will implode soon enough.
