Should've gone to Sportsmed, but just struggling for spare time to get up that way. My pain is down lower than yours, reckon I'll just pop some pills and play through it, then get it looked at next week. I already have severe achilles tendinitis and probably a broken finger, so I can add this to the list of things to play through
So did mine, I'd just get to being able walk properly by Friday afternoon and then re-live it all again, God knows how I was coming home from Joplins at 6am on Sunday mornings.

I don't miss footy.
my body hates me
I was about 33 in my last season, well, 6 games in when I realised enough was enough.....having said that, I wish I'd gone on two or three more but the body and the mind were in different places. It wasn't the body that had pulled the pin, it was the mind that couldn't see me fronting up again and again.

My body has been telling me to do stupid things lately, like go out and have another kick.

Same here but I was 23. Spent 3 years fighting hamstring tendinitis saw all sorts of health professionals but spending far too much time preparing to play than enjoying it. Knew I had a problem when I'd wake up game day not wanting to go and play Didn't realise at the time but I'd damaged my right ankle and 5 years later required a reconstruction.

With you there boon.
Stopped playing at 27, due to constant pain. Thought 2 years later I'd try again. Played two games and was done again. Only so much pain relief you can take before it starts becoming a problem.

I made the mistake of having a comeback game against Glenunga at their shit heap of an oval, I swear there's a cloud permanently over that oval, I've never played there on a dry day.
This is what I try to explain to the Mrs when she complains how much time sport takes up. I've only got a certain amount of time to play before my body gives up and I never get to play again.

I have. It was f**kin 38 degrees and I was standing in the sun in the back pocket all day when we beat them by 30 goals.

Do you have any car allowances, travel expenses, work related expenses etc to deal with?
Normally dont claim anything but my girlfriend assures me shes going to be more "creative" than I normally am. I might be ok as a lot of the money was untaxable or taxed at the time. Haven't paid any tax since Jan except the bit that comes out of my super pension automatically butI should be able to claim on a few things related to my new jobs.
Beer sampling?
If Wedgie could claim a tax deduction on this the country would be broke and Wedgie very rich. All hail king Wedgie
