Is there promotion/relegation this season?

no there isnt but I had heard that if a club was stuggling this year, the league could look at them going down a grade

As resolved by majority via Circular Resolution:
Promotion and Relegation is frozen for season 2020 however any Club may negotiate with another Club in another Division to interchange Divisions both for Season 2020 & or 2021.

Not sure why Gepps Cross decided to wear a red strip that still clearly clashed with ours yet, we had to change our strip and we were the home side

OK, there's been an oversight in the clashes but have a bit of bloody common sense people.

Yep our blue guernsey would’ve been fine today. It was really hard to tell the 2 teams apart in the B Grade game.

Certainly not holding the ball.
Correct decision from the man in green IMO.

Clearly a goal. Not even close to anything else, never nice to throw the C-word around but that's as close as it comes to cheating.

In fairness though bedge, the umpiring was horrible all day for both teams. I feel we dominated most of the play and you had maybe a bit of the third and the fourth on your terms. Not manning up on the old bloke and letting him take easy marks doesn’t help either

You’re right, was going to watch the game back properly and check the umpiring because first impressions Saturday was that Harrington sucked balls.. from the Kilburn 25m penalty deep inside F50 that was overturned for a pat on the head, to the non-existent HTB rule in the first half which was complete opposite in the 2nd half, to even at the end Parks being pinned HTB after being driven in the back into ground.

The 25m penalties were out of control too.

Not to take anything away from Kilburn though, they were up and about and played well.. Francis the beneficiary of having O’Keefe higher, and Solly is my favourite player at the moment.

Billy Parks was good, as was Marcus Linsen.

Galbraith had moments but can’t win a hard ball, relies on team mates to bring him into the game.

Overall once again first quarter killed us - 5 goals to 1, once again playing catch up.. just can’t afford to give sides that sort of jump. Need to be far better.

Pembroke minor premiers, Hope Valley and Mitcham round out the top 3 - final positions still to be decided.

Gepps Cross, Kilburn, Pulteney and Woodville South seasons are over, but still bit to play for - if Woody South can beat Kilburn and Pulteney lose, the spoon will go to the South Parklands, and Gepps could cost Mitcham 2nd spot with an upset.

Winner of SMOSH and Morphy Pk plays finals.. Walkerville could still miss the 5 altogether if they lose badly (unlikely but still a chance), but will want to win to secure a home final.

Worst.. Division.. EVER!!!

Every week results go completely against the grain. Woody South and Pembroke losing on the weekend has created a monster - and SMOSH the biggest beneficiary, as they'll smack Morphy Park Saturday, collect tidy percentage and jump from 7th into the 5.

Woody South should account for Kilburn to claim a top two spot, but Pembroke will have their work cut out for them against Hope Valley.

Walkerville & Pulteney batting for a spot.. although Walkies healthy percentage means even if they lose they are a strong chance to keep SMOSH out on percentage.
Mitcham & Gepps Cross battling for a spot.

To think if Hope Valley (and SMOSH) win, the team that finishes 3rd bottom will have been only 1 win away from top spot.

I agree no one likes to use the Cheat word,........but that is cheating there is no other way to get it that wrong!!

I will say that the umpire wouldn’t deliberately cheat, he may have gotten the call wrong but he wouldn’t have intentionally done so. He has made some shockers against us as well. The 25’s were out of control and really made the game stop start. I was surprised the margin was as close as it was, I felt we controlled the game and probably should have put it away in the first.

Solly was very good on the weekend, surprised he wasn’t in our best. Can’t have everyone going in to win the ball and not everyone is smart enough to link up for the handball like G. Hopefully finish off what has been a really disappointing season this week and try and win a third game.

I particularly like the part where it sails over his head and he quickly shuffles across to the right and stares out into the clouds to make it look like he thought it missed.

We used to have one that we nicknamed "Pete the Cheat", he was a shocker.
