Re: CH9AFL Division 6 2016
I'm sure I speak for all the loyal Mitchell Park faithful so I would like to thank Tom Roberts on behalf of the club for his massive commitment to our great club over the past 2 seasons. His overall effort has been massive and has given us a great insight to how we can continue to become a strong club that can push up the ranks and stay there. We are indebted to his efforts. We wish him well in his future coaching aspirations, and before the what the? starts again, it was his decision as we all thought he was going on.
We now start the process of finding our next coach that is totally committed to a genuine family club to take us forward, as Tommy was.

Would love to keep him but he shouldn't have even played this year due to some chronic leg issues. Testament to his character that he pulled the boots on anyway.
Yep, M.Ellingham returning as a player. Huge recruit.

Re: CH9AFL Division 6 2016
Hmm can someone confirm for me the rules..
40.2 (d)
A player may not play in a lower Division final if such player played in the higher Division’s previous week’s round of matches or in the higher Division’s last major round match unless both such Member Club’s teams are playing in the same round of matches.
So would this mean that West Croydon are not permitted to play Clavell, Malupo, Birch and Wilcox in the B grade as named this week since they played A grade last week, and their A grade are not playing this round of matches?

What if they have played more reserves than Agrade matches?

Re: CH9AFL Division 6 2016
Don't think it matters. It was my understanding that rule was brought in to stop exactly what West Croydon have seemingly done and that you have to have played your last game at the level to which you're playing finals.
Could very well be wrong though!

Yep, same haha - I've never had the luxury of finishing top so I don't know what happens lol, but I would've thought there would be something in place to prevent sides loading up.

they can apply for a permit and it may be granted if these players have played equal or more B grade games then A grade games

Not sure about loading up, Birch may have played a few Agrade games but the others wouldn't have I don't reckon.

Wasn't talking about WC loading up - just saying sides in general.. most of those named would've played mostly B grade anyway I reckon.
Was just curious was all lol.

You could well be onto something here Zartan. If you go by the wording, they shouldn't be able to play B Grade unless they get a permit. Probably something you could look into further if you lose tomorrow

When we lose to the reigning premiers tomorrow, as they begin winding up for an assault on B2B flags.. i'll be enjoying some down time and starting to think about taking 40 wickets this cricket season

Players who have played more B than A grade games can get permits to play from the league, not unusual for any clubs to request during the finals series. If they play in two higher division finals games they then cant get permits to go back down.

So what is the go with E. Wilson (6xA - 3xB) and S. Freeman (12xA and 6xB) tomorrow then? Would they be eligible for a permit?

Doesn't matter does it if their A's are in?
