Bairstow would bat above prior for sure, and has done in tests before. Root will go to 3, Barstow 6

Would be interesting if they played woakes and panesar but I doubt they will

Root to bat 3, Stokes to come in at 6 as third seamer replacing Tremlett and Panaeser to play

Tremlett. Has there ever been a less intimidating 6'10" 100kg fast bowler?

The mug strolled in on day 3, bent his back and delivered a missile at Mitch at 127km/h.

Marlon Samuels throws his off-spinners faster than that! He's on Pom I have no problem finding the hate for.

Bumped into a group of England players in the Havelock during the last Ashes test match in Adelaide, all of them not playing so obviously went out for dinner and a few quiet ones and Tremlett was one of them. He barely fitted through the bloody door and looked fairly intimidating off the field. Astounded that he can barely get above 130 kph

I remember him being at least "normal" pace last time he played, maybe like siddle - ie not express but not horrible. Fast medium

Obviously my comparison with siddle was wrong and I was actually thinking of mike hussey

Warney is quality behind the mike whether discussing the game or offering up a few quips. Slater got him a few times in the first test which was amusing as well.

Bloody oath! Man's a legend, a national treasure, a hero, a testament to leg spin bowling, an ornament to the game and a diamond in the crown of Autralian sport!
Warnie! Warnie!

Warnie, much like the family cars of Australia, has undergone too many changes to be still considered a classic. Sure, he might resemble the old model with similar badges, but he just isn't what he used to be.

Like the old Ford or Holden, Warnie was pretty broad, built for cruising and was perhaps even too heavy for the role that he played. He gave off the occasional puff of smoke and ran on the rawest of ingredients, but, get him on a nice flat straight stretch and he could spin his wheels with the best of them.

Now he's undergone some European styling, is more plastic than he is polished chrome and he runs on a mix of premium ingredients. His whites are now in his mouth instead of on his back and he spends more time tweeting than he does tweaking.

I still like him, but the old model was more collectable.
