The Electoral Commissioner has delivered an embarrassing blow to the Liberal Party days before the South Australian election, upholding a complaint of misleading advertising over Opposition Leader Steven Marshall's claim his party's energy plan would save households $300 per year.

The claim was made by the Liberals in advertisements and robocalls to thousands of South Australian households when the party launched its policy last October.

Mr Marshall was forced to backtrack the day after the policy's release, when modelling released by his own party showed that most of the $300 saving would be delivered whether or not the policy was in place.

And it wasn't just the Liberals that have been reprimanded.

The Labor Party was also censured over a flyer it distributed that stated "the Libs have a secret plan to cut $557 million of the GST share from South Australia", which was found to be misleading.

Penbo is right, Xenophon said no community club that uses pokies for an income stream should get tax payer money. Now he's offering $6.5m of it to us!

Was good to hear Koch talking yesterday about the phasing out of the machines from our revenue stream, we've already sold several machines off from Alberton, the process has at least begun.

Something similar worked for Waite - Martin HS got a lot of money out of the SA-ALP for his a electorate as part of his deal with them, and detailed it in his recent electorate newsletter which was his farewell to politics.
