districts had 8-9 first choice players out, sounds like they did well to salvage a draw is all I’m saying, don’t get ya knickers in a twist

How does old mate from Pt Districts manage to get yellow carded at the end of the 1st quarter then kick a goal 5min into the 2nd quarter?

I thought it was #6? He's a pest at the end of the quarter and him and the umpire appear to be having words before the yellow is produced.
Qtr starts at 29:40 and kicks the goal 37:03.. not even accounting for time off that's less than 10min.

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 1 - 2019
It probably has but probably not in these circumstances, otherwise we probably would've heard about it- surely the principle is the same as the 19th man debacle.
The tribunal or board will probably work out if there was a score while there was an extra player on the ground and if so they’ll take that particular score away. In this instance, it's the goal that the carded player kicked, and probably award the win to Henley.
One thing you can count on though, the Woodville West Torrens supporters are going to go nutso if the AdFL adjusts the score and SANFL only fined NOrth Adelaide.

If he gets a yellow card, he can be replaced immediatey by another player, which means Port Districts were entitled to have 18 on the field. So, I don't see it being the same as the 19 men scenario. Who is responsible for monitoring the 10 minutes a player must be off the field? Teams don't have interchange stewards, do they? Do teams (e.g. team manager) self monitor, which could explain why someone can return earlier than 10 minutes.

Supposed to have interchange stewards aren’t you? They should be recording and keeping track of any cards.

I said the principle is the same, not exactly the same scenario - I said except in this instance, a carded player has come onto field and kicked a goal.Hope this clarifies ;-)
The official time keeper should be the one keeping record so if he/she is the one who has effed it and given this player the clear to go back on, then you'd think there wouldn't be a case to answer because it's the time keepers stuff up, not the players

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 1 - 2019
Can’t tell me the coach wouldn’t have a timer going on the bench for rotations.. surely he’d know better I mean it’s pretty simple to work out 0:00 to 10:00 in the quarter..

That may be the case, but you are relying on each team being honest with the 10 minutes. What is the correct process to ensure a player serves the full 10 minutes? If the time keeper doubles as the interchange steward and records any incidents where cards are handed out, does this mean a team cannot allow a player to return to the field until they have got clearance from the time keeper. How does this work when the time keeper is sitting in the grand stand like they were at Goodwood on Saturday. It seems rhe current system is easily abused.
