Have suffered chronic insomnia ever since & I know my brain doesn't operate normally.

I do fight the black dog a lot but my insomnia last night was from a herniated disc in my lower back & bad shoulders giving me hell. Back has been giving me problems for about a year & shoulders about 6 months now. Had the right shoulder cleaned out, tendons repaired & bursa removed (can't do anything with the arthritis though) about 4 years ago & felt great after that but has since turned to sh!t. I just couldn't get any sleep until about 4am. Then kept waking up from snoring.
I had insomnia real bad quite some time ago, sometimes I was going to work on Thursday when I hadn't slept since the Sunday night, TV on, TV off, soft music, forest sounds, beach sounds, my mind was going a million thoughts an hour.

A friend suggested buying a latex pillow, I thought it sounded silly but ahh what the heck. I never looked back, ended up buying 4 for myself and decked the kids out with the same, it was weird that something so simple could make such a difference.

Just a thought despite my insomnia was caused by something different to yours, chronic back pain would be less than fun.
I'll give it a go, a good pillow definitely helps. I do like my own special pillow, take it with me whenever we go away.

Same, I feel like Charlie Brown's mate.

I have a chiropractor pillow I bought 5 years ago and it’s change my life.
Sleep way better and no sore back either when I wake
Wasn’t cheap but worth every cent(or $300).

Probably like mine, pure HS style on sale for $49 down from $600, like when was it ever $600?

It doesn't deter me though, I think most of my bedding, towels, appliances, glasses, cutlery, knife sets etc are all from there.

When I split up with the wife a few years ago I was in a bit of limbo on whether I should go back or not so I was staying at the old girls for the interim, the ex still couldn't control her temper and would just throw insults at me so I said "Hey, just keep giving me shit because every time you do, I go out and buy something for the new house I'll be getting and so far you've nearly decked it out for me".

It wasn't accepted very well, there was one last outburst then crickets, we laugh about it now.

Fantasy images (AI) of dead people meeting in a fantasy place (heaven) are beyond cringe. Stop it.

Helped a mate move today.

Moved probably 50 or 60 items across the load and unload, second last item I've gone ping and torn my right lat.

FFS.

Update - It's between rib 2 and 3, right side, more front than side. I can't lay on my right side. I can't lay on my left side. As it turns out I can't sleep on my back.

Hasn't been ideal.

Cough? No thanks. Sneeze? Absolutely not. Laugh? It aint funny.

Nurofen + Nurofen gel are helping but I reckon I'm just another Port Adelaide "season" casualty.
