Do they actually know how to get out of the CBD??
Yes- but only to the airport for their 4 away trips per season.
Have a look at their interstate record over the last 10-12 years.
Winning interstate hasn't been a problem for them.
In a perfect, fair comp Carlton and Essendon would also travel to Kardinia Pk, but that's never going to happen either.
That is Geelong's fault.
Geelong have chosen to move their games for the bigger capacity and revenue.

Nasty injury.
Early tribunal controversy?
Hard to say only saw a brief view but Burbury took a mark low down and Maxwell got him on his jaw. Dont reckon he was watching the ball but probably more clumsy than deliberate

The "Dustin Fletcher" defence.
Also Jim, the AFL would never allow Carlton, Coll or Ess to play at Geelong.

I reckon it will be games. Not deliberate, but they don't care about that. Good to get an early incident like that so we can compare it for the rest of the year.

Its not the AFL's call, Hawthorn and Essendon play each other at Etihad despite both having 50,000 + members and the AFL doesnt move that
Geelong choose to play those games in Melbourne.

Staff were looking for Burbury's teeth at half time and he is now in an ambulance on way for xrays, looks nasty

As I said looked more clumsy than deliberate. The thing against him was he didnt have eyes on the ball.

If you watch the first replay here
http://www.afl.com.au/video/2014-02-12/ ... ing-injury it looks like he watches it in and turns just in time to see the other guy coming in. Nothing he could do in my opinion.

Was he wearing one? they just said he lost a row of teeth.
He got hit pretty hard, dont think a mouthguard makes much differance on a hit like that

I agree with Jim. Mouthguard wouldn't do much to stop that.

Plus it was a hit to the side of the jaw. Would a mouthguard protect against that?

Doesn't look like he was wearing one.
You'd be surprised how well they work. I've been kneed in the face, chipped teeth through the mouthguard but managed to keep them all in.
