Re: Play HQ
I did ask during the scorers training session but didn't receive an answer. Has the system been volume tested? That was the major failing of the system.
If not, then we need score-books.

Don't clubs have the use of score books this year as back up?

Re: Play HQ
I find the score entry pretty straightforward and easy to do, what's helped is our association president has opened up the option of both teams being able to enter/edit the scores of both innings meaning we can select the bowlers and fielders involved in the dismissals which we initially couldn't do, it also speeds up the process if other clubs are a bit slow putting in their scores and we can fix any mistakes if scores don't add up.

No.
How do you get the cricket season "sprung upon them"?
We'd heard for over 12 months out MyCricket wasn't going to be supported in 2022/2023. Unless someone didn't tell PlayHQ that they were taking it over, I fail to see how this could occur.

Yup, Darwin and Districts Cricket Competition were the guinea pigs for PlayHQ Cricket in 2022
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Hmm maybe that’s what PDCA need to do.
I had more issues Sat with the live scoring, and I’m having issues swapping players over still as well.
Also the whole manually recording stats this year is gonna be a drag.

Re: Play HQ
Opposition put our scores in at stumps yesterday including the dismissals. I go in today to put the batting in the correct order. It adds 2 extra players as 'player', tried to delete them twice, re-arranged the batting order 4 times and it still don't work. It's even deleted the mode of dismissal.
Over it. Big up yours Cricket Australia

Yep it's unusable junk
I knew from just trying to look at amateur league scores that it would stink. Clunky, multiple clicks to do anything.
It's actually worse than the extremely low expectations I had going in

I'm not sure, I'm not involved with a footy club anymore so not sure about the admin side of things. But just as Joe Public looking up scores it is poorly designed

Re: Play HQ
I've used PlayHQ for the past couple of weeks.
Some issues I've noticed;
1. Not continuing a spell with the previous bowler selected by default
2. Match settings incorrect and can't change them
2a. mandatory retirement of batters in junior cricket
2b. no balls and wides rebowled - not for junior cricket unless in the last over
3. Ending an inning/match is cumbersome
4. Having to Pin and sign out of a session that you're in. (No other app I've ever seen makes you sign OUT of a session by using the user name and password you signed in with)
The web app needs a lot of work.
