16° saturday. Slippers will need handwarmers. They'll get heaps to look at but a lot won't carry I'd expect. I'd also wager that there'll be some minefields. Good luck gentleman, I'm off to do a sun dance.
7mm overnight probably the nail in the coffin for a lot of games. Our pitch was good to go however the outfield is our problem, still a few heavy spots that haven't come up after footy season, suspect we'll get called off at some stage today.
Other grounds are good to go though so will be some cricket played it seems.
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

Another passing shower to make sure everything remains damp.

What ground we talking about here? Wind picking up might help it dry a little bit. No more rain and sunshine might see a miracle

Our ground is still a construction site and a bog in some places after having 120 ton topdress. Too dangerous to play on in my opinion. Pitch is still soft and not fit for play. Let's try again next week.

that should be a forfeit
Rumour has it Port got there early for a longer warmup, found the oval to still be underwater in sections, rang PAOC and let them know don't bother, PAOC captain kindly accepted the recommendation of his opposition without questioning it and told his players to meet at the pub as a result.

That old trick - and then tell the ATCA that PAOC failed to turn up

We won the toss and sent them in. Good toss to win. Game got underway at 1:15 on a softish wicket. Could've waited a bit longer in my opinion. Our bowlers hit the spot with the ball jagging and ran through them. I didn't see a ball bowled but apparently there's no dents in it, which can't be the case. But I'll see it tonight when I repair it.
