Well played , unfortunately a lot of people will think "that's good" :)

The activity on twitter will be promoted as a positive for the league....

Flashscore is the best place for score updates.

There is an even better way to get the scores...attend the game

All 5 at once? that would be interesting

Seriously, what a joke.

Seriously, why is it a joke?

Doesn't work, can't access all games, charging for something that is on TVand their app for free, telling us to rely on twitter for scores.

Instead of defending it and making it worse you are in a position to improve things.

Digital Passes are pretty standard these days for professional sports.

They make watching the games much more convenient and the SANFL pricing isn't bad.

Agree, if done correctly.

Not very convenient when you can't access all games!

Only having only a single club's games, or explicitly excluding finals isn't standard though right?

Not all NFL and MLB packages include playoffs (or local games, due to blackout policies)...and they're up to $350 AUD a year.

I only looked at the finals packages from the SANFL, and that looks reasonable.

This says all games and all teams. Since its only a couple of weeks since this article was published, maybe there's some teething issues. But it does look like its supposed to cover every game.

Just gone back and read the previous discussion.

It seems like people aren't used to digital passes. Because the sports I follow are only readily available via digital pass, I'm used to things like regular season and post season packages, etc.

It's pretty standard. Obviously it's a money making thing, but there are perks for some people to not have to pay for playoffs if their team doesn't make it and they have no interest in watching. The supporters that get to see their team play more games pay more.

Also, blackouts are common practice, so the delay of available games until after CH7 have shown them live seems reasonable too.

Having a digital pass will hopefully get more people watching the SANFL in their own time or when it's convenient for them. If you can watch it live on TV, why not go to the game?

You can't. It looks like its basically a team package, like the NFL did.

Maybe they're doing this first, then rolling out a league package later.

Is this the first season it's been available?

The NFL did a team package as well as the full package. If this is the SANFLs first crack at digital passes, I wouldn't really complain.

It's a start. Especially for a lower level competition.

Watched a Rugby union game the other week at Elizabeth and spoke to my cousin about their live streaming of the game and it cost the club $250 to stream it on facebook at no cost to the supporter, just the club.
SANFL is a rip off

Yes it was. Both my cousins play for Elizabeth. Always enjoy heading out there when North have a bye... Sorry split round. Always make me feel welcome there, more than at prospect to be honest. :(

I know that you watch NFL, but what are the other sports that you follow?
If they are top level sports from overseas then it is indeed very convenient that you can buy a digital pass here and follow your team. But wouldn't those games be available on TV in their home countries? Aren't you then just paying for the privilege of following a sport that is happening so far from your home that there is no other option? When I lived in Japan I would have jumped at the chance to get one to follow SANFL, but as a means of promoting and drawing fans to a league in its home state, I do not think you can compare it to a digital pass that covers, say top level Grid Iron, for example.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
