and kataifi?

My sister's mother-in-law was Greek, so moussaka, pasticcio and lamb souvlaki were the go.

Prawns - must be the biggest and dearest of the season, no less than 10kgs worth
Lupini beans
Crusty bread rolls
Lasagne and pasta
Roast chicken
2nd serving of prawns

Freshly percolated coffee, bottomless cup

All portions enough to feed 10x the number of guests for 2 weeks

Repeat lunch menu for Christmas dinner

And when you are just sitting there after five helpings and you are one biscotti away from a two day food Coma

Nonna or one of you Aunty's will go

"Hey Dedjio, Whatta the matter? Why you no eating?

Nothing here you like? Why you insulta me lika this? Have I upset you? I cooka all week for you.

Here let me get you another plate, you eat, hey!"
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

1. Traditional (wife’s side of the family, Aussies)

Small platter with leg ham, cheddar cheese (optional)
Roast pork and turkey, roast potatoes and carrots
Christmas pudding
Nescafé coffee

All portions just barely enough to feed the number of guests

Christmas dinner not catered for, usually only on the rare occasion if there are leftovers
