Menzel has class to burn, but there's massive risk associated with him.

He'll be 26 in September so he's got 5 or 6 year ahead of him. Would need to be on Ports terms with him wanting out, I wouldn't be knocking on Geelongs door.

We'll swap Menzel and Stanley for Lynch and McGovern. That'd be a fair swap I reckon lol

Menzel has talent but his mobility has been heavily sacrificed due to his knee injuries. No knee injuries he easily leaves Lynch and McGovern behind but a harsher call on Gov whose best football is well and truly in front of him. I think Menz could have been great but he will only ever be serviceable in my view. If someone was to pay overs for him I wouldn't mind. We really need a mobile small forward who applies pressure in the forward 50 and can match Menz' goal output.

Wouldn't even entertain.

Pittard is expendable, so look to FA compo (late first round/early 2nd round pick) and hit the draft.

He slots in nicely to our forward line I reckon. We don't really have decent medium sized forwards - in my mind hes a significant upgrade on Aaron Young.

The Pittard compo has a huge variance. If it's an end of second rounder, yep, come on board Menzel. If it's an end of first rounder, nah, we'd want to keep that thanks.

Would be an excellent 3rd midfielder at the Cats IMO. Problem with Trav is, he can't impact on the outside the way he used to. At the Cats, where blokes like Danger, Duncan and co. can impact the outside, Trav's sole responsibility would be to win the contested cod and extract.

To Trav's detriment at Port, he doesn't have the impact up forward that is needed of him for the role he plays.

Is this an indication the Port faithful are losing interest and faith in their skipper?

All will be revealed once the championships are done, and we can get a better idea of the midfield talent available in this years pool.

If we were in a position to trade Pittard for a late first rounder- I would absolutely jump all over that. Hypothetically we were able to secure this pick- we could look to pick up a quality outside mid/small forward in this years draft (Jack Higgins or Patrick Naish- albeit the latter is a potential F/S selection with Richmond, and I don't think Higgins will fall that far) which might just enable us to draft a Menzel type without the injury history, or if we were to draft a quality outside mid, we may have the luxury of being able to play Wingard and Gray up forward in tandem.

Sort of. Needs to be replaced as skipper in the next year or so.

Been wonderful though.

Totally agree.

Pittard potentially wanting out is a blessing in disguise. Although I have heard he wants to sign. So who knows.
