Yes, RIP. 'First Blood' is a great film (so much better than its tone-deaf gun-toting sequels), and much of it because of Dennehy's performance.

Played the asshole Harrison in the 2nd Man From Snowy River. Unfortunately was following on from Kirk Douglass so couldn't fill those shoes.

Dennehy dressed as a clown is a lasting memory of him for me.... and a spooky memory too.
This is so true (from ABC)
Dennehy played serial murderer John Wayne Gacy in the 1991 TV movie To Catch a Killer and union leader Jackie Presser in the HBO special Teamster Boss a year later.
"I try to play villains as if they're good guys and good guys as if they're villains," he said in 1992.
