Were they the ones that came with plastic sticks, that were some sort of building game, that you could construct shapes and figures from? I remember these from the early 80's, but not sure if it was these ice blocks. The sticks could interlock.

Na, Cool Sharks were the shape of a shark and were white and blue. I know the one's you are talking about though.

Yep, I remember those...they were very refreshing :D

Shark Attack ice cream.

It was ice cream in a cardboard cup with little jelly men. And the spoon was an oar with a bite out of it. I remember they were out when I was in year 4, so 1997. Havent seen them since I moved to Adelaide from Darwin in 98.

i wore ripples to high school, remember the first day i wore them they had to be initiated by people slagging on the
I think I had the first ripple soled black suede Desert Boots seen at Woodville High.
After they caught on there were mutterings about banning them from the Principal, but at least one of the teachers wore them too..
Earlier, I had the then fashionable black suede shoes with white stitching and crepe soles [a creamy white soft rubber].
I also had a pink shirt at the time which was also very "in".

Then there was the 1970s when I was a young graduate - looking back I can hardly believe we wore some of that stuff.
[Women in see through blouses were very distracting in those days, though you tried to be nonchalant about it.]

The local Deep Purple cover band, " Machine Head"

Even 15 years ago they were playing occasionally but I think they had a gig recently.

I'd love to go see them again.

Also, DOC MARTINS.
Surely one of the best shoes ever produced yet rarely spotted these days.
Hopefully they make a comeback too.

There's a couple of places around that still sell them I reckon. There's a lolly shop in James Place that has them, and I think the one in Glenelg does too.

Everywhere in London. Can also order them off the internet, but getting the perfect fit could be a problem.

That's funny because another friend of mine asked that very same question about pop tarts the other day.

Don't know why, they were grose :ymsick:
