Heritage guernseys to be worn today at Harpers. Celebrating 20 years of the kookaburras. From humble beginnings to strong junior club and a bright future in the seniors, hopefully the lads pay the day the respect it deserves and biting their best. Gold Coin on the gate and guernseys to be Auctioned with all proceeds going to little heroes foundation. Hopefully the turn out is big despite grey skies!

The proceeds going to the little heroes foundation is the best thing I've heard in amateur footy for a fair while. Good on GG.
I would expect by their 40 year anniversary they'll have an a1 flag or two celebrated
Played in a couple very good games against GG including an epic reserves 1st semi in 2003. Still can't believe you blokes ain't a powerhouse amateur Div 1 or 2 club.
Well done on the donations too.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Ended up a bit over $6000 from the guernsey auctions.
Re being a powerhouse: we want to build a strong culture based around some key principles that will allow to stay there when we get there. We don't want to be a flash in the pan that just tumbles back down the grades after a season or two at the top. Happy to build slowly. Still plenty to prove in 2014 first.

Well done on the funds raised!

What a fantastic way of going about it. Get the process and structure right and the results will follow. Must have some very clever people at GG, great work.
