Clubs can place drinks behind goals so that forwards/backs can get a drink after goals, mids can just get one when rotated off.
Update only came out today - and AdFL have said all along they're following the advice given as i s comes.. so i'll take that as water runners allowed.

Still think you are wrong, the league never want water carriers again
Going by this quote from them also - * This is in no way interpreted as water carriers returning to the field of play.
Hi again. Following today’s 7 Day Lockdown announcement, the first consideration of whether we play this weekend has clearly been taken out of our hands.
But the principle of our email Monday the 19th remains. We have contingencies to a certain point in the calendar which also included the genre of today’s announcement. Whilst the integrity of competition remains a significant consideration, the welfare of our volunteers remains the highest of our priorities.
There’s no point assuming outcomes so we’ll take a breath, see how the coming days unfold and then have a re-think about what the options are going forward. The reality is today’s announcement doesn’t change the framework around our contingency plans, the dates just become a moving feast and we all know there are some things out of our control.
However, for all intents and purposes, we plan to play next weekend until told otherwise. To offer a sample of how the plans will unfold, this Saturdays Round will move to the week after the currently scheduled Round 18 and we have an ability to move those dates until we get to a point of worst case scenario being October Long weekend as per 2020.
I’d hope we can lay claim to a proven level of communication between the League and our Clubs in general but also from our COVID19 disrupted year last year and the coming week and or weeks will be no different.
So effectively just move this week to the back... i.e. Rd 15 becomes Rd 19.
I like it.

I know we're all geniuses in hindsight, but I remarked to a few people at the PNU ROCS game that the half D1 bye could end up being unfortunately timed the way things were looking and that it might have been better off if the other two matches had been played on the day.

100% agree. Round 19 has just become a bit of nightmare in the context of all things.
Marshall says 7 day lockdown doesn't appear to be going any longer, but mentioned it would be a step back in restrictions - if we step back to Level 4 then hard to see us playing footy again next Saturday, we will effectively be in the same position we were earlier in the week.

Correct, they are going to keep silly restrictions on us for some time to come, despite no cases outside of those directly identified.
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!
Can't see any football being played for the next 2-3 weeks. I'm sure Adelaide Footy League would have a plan A,B and C but hopefully they have a plan D and E as well. Will be some interesting conversations between Football and Cricket clubs in the next few weeks in regards to oval availability.
