Re: State Banner
It's probably too late to do it now, but it would have been just as effective to have one of the more controversial signs as a banner in the crowd.

Re: State Banner
There's a sneak peek of it on the Roost, my question to the SANFL who supplied the materials is why is the banner and the guernseys in Crows colours and not our traditional state colours?

I don't know there Spelly. If someone has an old sheet and a tin of paint you could whip one up in as long as it takes the paint to dry.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

My thoughts entirely.
I might add that I was sickened to my guts to see effwits in the crowd adorned in Crows guernseys. This to my mind is sadder than Port effwits who deck out in Power gear for Magpies matches.

I understood the Crows colours were those originally used in the state strip - it was always a navy blue when I was a kid before the creation of the Crows.

Crows fans are more justified wearing club colours to an SANFL state game than PP fans are to a PM game in the SANFL....you are kidding surely

Re: State Banner
Are we seriously criticising people, who made the effort to attend the game and support SA, for what they chose to wear?
Are we the clothes police now? AFL v SANFL pettiness reaches a new low on SAFooty FFS it's probably the closest thing to red/blue/yellow that they owned at least they went and made an effort to be in the state's colours.
It might shock some of you to know that some people strongly associate the Crows (and the Power) with SA and are proud to do so. Is that OK or do they need to clear it with SANFL fans first? If we are going to get technical about it, the Crows and Power have more South Australians in their sides than the SANFL one did

agree with that Honda- just imagine the grief they would've copped if the didn't attend.
Damned if they did, damned if they didn't.
Also, I don't see anyone sledging supporters who wore their club colours...
