Where did Willy Serle play last year, I'm hearing the dollars at Freeling have got him interested again?

Hasn't really played much of late, but finished the season out at ND last year in the side Pete Thomas was coaching. Gawler Central before that.

Not sure if 100% correct
Reason EP folded was due to ridiculously high outstanding fees over a large period of time owed, EP have gotten debt collectors involved
From my understand literally ever cricketer owes fees for multiple years and won't be cleared to any clubs until they are paid in full
I'm happy to be wrong but that's my understanding of the situation
Allegedly the fees owing for those 3 is allegedly around $500 each so unless CU have forked out around $1500 I'm not sure they will get cleared
Didn't say they were cleared, just signed (and training) with CU,
I don't get clubs that are happy to allow players to go year after year with out paying fees, then when things turn to 5hit, the club folds and the player asks for a clearance they want to go back multiple years worth of payments. I understand holding things up for the previous seasons fees but its the clubs bad luck if they let them get away with multiple seasons of no payments. IMHO

I agree - and I always thought this was the case? Surely you cant hold a bloke for multiple seasons with of fees?! It's your clubs own fault and poor management if they've failed to collect fees over a number of seasons.

Re: PDCA 2016 - 2017
Seems odd a player would get paid good dollars to play but still have to pay fees.
Majority of head line acts wouldn't have to pay rego fees surely.
Just speculating, club is in the shit, players want out, club is a little shitty, club plays hardball.
No one wins.

No cricketers at EP were getting paid to play cricket

Great to hear that Craigmore have put a Junior Team in the Adelaide Turf U/17 Comp, be interesting to see how they stack up on Turf.

The new rules on email scores not required are a pain in the arse, if clubs complain that they aren't getting any coverage in the messenger they will be getting told.

Oh well, reward the ones that do the right thing, it's not that hard for clubs to get the player stats into into MyCricket on Sunday. Jeez it only takes 5mins per team.
Maybe when the Association removed email scores they should have changed the MyCricket entry rules as well to Sunday night.

I thought they toughened them up, it doesn't appear so.
It's funny seeing the trends, especially in Grade 1. Certain teams have their shit up by 7pm Saturday when they win, you're lucky to see everything done by the following week, the Gardens, Angle Vale and Virginia are classics for this.
Craigmore are usually the best at entering their data promptly, but this week they've dragged the chain.

Teams that delay putting scores down are just flat out lazy. It takes 5-10min, you'd be done before you finish a can.. not bloody hard!
Cant tell me they cant find 10min after a game, or when they get home later that night, or Sunday morning after breakfast..

Admittedly, when I was running a club I took all of the books and used Sunday morning hangover time to enter them all, my kids soon learnt so I could just monitor them entering the scores etc. If we had stuff on Sunday mornings I'd struggle to get it done if I got on the piss later in the day.
The messenger are offering more column space this season so it would be great if everyone could get up to speed with it, the reports need to be in by 10am Monday's.

The messenger/advertiser are outdated forms of reporting now.. with mycricket and Facebook - everyone knows what's happened in games before the end of the weekend, and I doubt many would open a paper to find results.

Never underestimate the desire of people to see their name in a newspaper/online article. It is a very powerful force.

Yes, I have spent the past two hours sitting by Port Wakefield Road wondering whether life was all worth it.
