I don't think we're as bad as India. Lots of our pitches suit touring sides as much as us. But yeah we're definitely in no position to be calling the Indians cheats.

At least we prepare 1 pitch, and not 4 pitches in 1 to suit certain bowlers from certain ends and disadvantage particular opposition players.

Only rolling 2/3rds of a pitch is cheating in my opinion.

Yeah I’m sure the touring teams over the years have been absolutely delighted with the pitches we’ve served up.

That’s the trouble having a fast bowler as captain.
The Oval is always a bat first pitch unless there is a lot of cloud about.
It’s also been as dry as I can remember for this time of year over in the UK so conditions should be perfect.

3/327 is unreal. Had real worries when Warner got himself out just before lunch and Bus Change straight after. Smith was batting like an old mole but hung about and Trav was doing Trav things. Hard fast tracks with short boundaries? Yes please. regards, REB

In the short term, at this stage, is The Trav the best South Australian left hand batsman since Clem Hill ? Hill, Hooksey, Boof, The Trav ? Regards President of the Head/Carey cheer squad

So they went an extra half hour and still finished five overs short? That is piss poor. Three wickets fell and there were no other interruptions. Also potentially robs the batting side of runs if conditions tomorrow aren't as conducive. Start suspending captains and it won't be a problem.

Penalty runs should be applied as well, make it impact the current game as well as the next. 10 runs per over. Teams will start bowling their overs in time.

What evidence is there to support the notion we doctor pitches in Australia? For ever and a day the WACA was different to the SCG, the SCG different to Adelaide etc etc but you knew what you were getting. When Warne was at his best did we create 5 dust bowls around the country? No. When McGrath and Gillespie were at their peak did we create 5 seaming rippers? No. It's insane to think we doctor pitches in the way India does.
If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.

Yes our pitches have always been like that, just like India's have always been spin friendly, just like England has always been seamer friendly. Thats what makes cricket great IMO, different conditions and challenges when playing away from home. Otherwise standardise every pitch with concrete and fake grass
