An outright win to TTG over Adelaide has thrown a cat amongst the pigeons.
Ladder with one round to go:
185 Sturt (vs Glen)
170 Kensington (vs Wdv)
160 Tea Tree Gully (vs East Torr)
145 University (vs SD)
145 West Torrens (vs Adel)
135 Glenelg (vs Sturt)

It is an absolute disgrace. He dead set chucks them.
Was kicked out of Victorian Premier Cricket for that reason, was no longer allowed to bowl.
Comes over and plays for Southerns for couple of years, and now Uni this year. Apparently umpires have put in reports about suspect action on numerous occasions and SACA don’t have the guts to do anything about it. What a joke!

WT and Uni need ET to beat TTG. Glenelg screwed, don’t know why they did not go harder for the win today as a draw meant their season was over
WT in big trouble this week, would have been big chance to beat Adelaide outright which they probably need to make it, but Redbacks taking half their team. Buckingham and Spencer Johnson both likely to debut, will be struggle now to win let alone take 20 wickets

If you saw the game not just the score you might think differently uni had 6+ fielders on boundary for the last 50 overs bowling (well allegedly bowling in some cases as mentioned above) negatively no intention to win the game and then I am led to believe their captain asked Glenelg to "make a game of it" by declaring with 15 overs to go. Was a very flat wicket it must be said but not a great spectacle for grade cricket overall if we are fair dinkum about the shield team winning another game this century they have to make some changes to the balls wickets points system and teams in grade cricket ASAP
Pissweak.

Yes, Prospect and Southerns called off at Lunch. Don’t think SACA are happy, supposed to play till Tea. But both captains agreed to call game off, Prospect have Bye in last round and Southerns have zero points for the season, so not sure the Umpires can force them back out to play.

Yeh, that is utter garbage. No wonder they are so hated by the other 12 Clubs! Was going to watch some of the game a bit later to see how it unfolded. Plus batting on for 10 overs was way too long.
Besides fixing the roads teams prepare every week, the other thing they need to do is go back to the old ball they use in 2nd Grade, it still swings for 40 plus overs, not like the current ball that stops swinging after 6 overs

They are very adept at creating the drama and then playing the victim. Especially their captain who leads the charge. Still sooks that he got cut by the Redbacks. Failed in 2 states but wonders why!!!

Would’ve been big celebrations at Prospect Oval last night, so fair enough they finished early. That’s back to back they’ve avoided winning the wooden spoon.

Uni and WT both on the same percentage too, so keeping wickets in hand will play a part next weekend if an outright is not achievable.
Could be interesting with Sturt and Glenelg too. That extra 10 points will be crucial. In the event that Glenelg are winning on 1st Innings easily, don’t be surprised to see a contrived outright result which could benefit either side. Glenelg could leapfrog both Uni and WT on percentage with an outright win or the 10 points could see Sturt keep above Kensington - which is crucial in the finals set up which sees a draw as good as a win if you’re placed higher on the ladder!

Neither Buckingham or Johnson in the final XI for the Shield game. Do they come back to play for WT this weekend?

SACA not letting either back. Rather they sit around twiddling their thumbs than playing a game of cricket
WT can’t take 20 wickets to win outright like they may need without those two.

Hopefully that means they’ll be picked for the one-day game on Tuesday? If not, a shame at least one of them aren’t sent back to play Grade cricket.

Apparently not allowed to play for WT due to covid restrictions according to SACA. WT pace bowling line up now Reuther, Gammon and Short. Big ask for them to get a win let alone an outright. Fallins will have to produce some magic!

Re: Grade Cricket
Adelaide have shifted their 2's to Prospect Oval to allow their 16 Reds a home final at Glandore. How did they manage to pull that one off??
