Re: Round 5 WWT v Port
Over the years PA v WWT matches have gone 44 to 43 wins. Hoping the Eagles win and even up that score. It may depend on how many AFL listed players PA have. Eags by 20 points.

You’d have to ask amber_fluid if he’s going … he’s the only true (former) Magpies supporter left.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.

When Port hit the front in the last quarter, you could see all the Eagles heads drop, it was all over.

Re: Round 5 WWT v Port
Following on from 93, and the Semi Final win, and the first quarter of the 94 GF, it was fair to say as a 13 year old Eagles supporter, I’d already claimed the premiership as ours at quarter time.
Back to earth with a thud.
Then 2000. And 2004. (2001 & 2005 not so bad - rank outsiders).
There was no complacency by 2006.
2011 was a miracle and the greatest game of football there ever was.
Dark days again on Grand Final day in 2015 & 2016.
Then the ultimate under Sheedy in 20/21.
Probably won 3 we should’ve and 2 we shouldn’t have, and lost 3 or 4 we shouldn’t have (15 was unlucky with injury) and lost 3 against Central where we did well to get there.
1994 showed us early, how hard they are to win. Given Dad was born in Torrens’ last premiership year of 1953, I won’t complain about losing a Grand Final. It’s just nice to have hope and a chance still, for as deep into the season as you can get!

Your dads 10 years older than me I lived through Torrens games kick 1 goal to say Glenelg 31 that’s my bad memoryAerie wrote:Following on from 93, and the Semi Final win, and the first quarter of the 94 GF, it was fair to say as a 13 year old Eagles supporter, I’d already claimed the premiership as ours at quarter time.

I recall Bradley’s last game for port at thebarton Torrens couldn’t win a game and killed port from my bad memory
I’ve been to all the eagles GF wins and losses lucky the TBI removed the 2015 loss from my brain
Now I think 2021 surrounded by north fans one woman kept abusing Poole until he started kicking goals
One little kid saying to his dad about north we still number 1.
Footy memories old memories why I’d never follow port those who know my surname will understand and it’s the easiest way to confuse Port fans
